Lilac blossoms are gilded and sheathed with the finest lotus silk
"The perfumer fakes nature by mixing different kinds of materials to reproduce her scent."
~ Francis Kurkdjian

By subjective estimation, Francis seems to have consumed copious amounts of violas from a well-known confectionery manufacturer in Bonn, Germany, during his creation of a new masterpiece in the Rose Garden, which prepared him insane inspiration for this fragrance.

With a devastating expectation of being showered by pink Damascene roses, whose intensity already dazzles you visually, the intense smell of Violas, speak ravishing violet note overcame me.

Initially, I still noted fresh, green notes, until this bravura piece gradually wrapped itself in silk. The violet note and the vanilla are for me undoubtedly the dominant notes combined in the highest perfection, to which the roses join on the slightest basis, but remain barely perceptible.

After about 7 hours, it was a little quieter around the lilac flower and a rough tone carried by woody notes solidarizes with the sweet conglomerate, but from oud was missing any trace, but oud has even in low concentration, my feeling after a worthy place within the notes deserves, so I completed this experience with a touch of Oud Wood from the house of Tom Ford and I was in no way disappointed by my instincts.
The harmony from both is indescribable and amazingly good.

The sillage and longevity are stunning.
I myself had numerous hours (>9h) to spend with him and the house forged in purple envelopes.
The scent, as already detailed is associated for my part with the taste of violas, which are just as sticky and defy with intensity.
As a solo, but also in combination with the Oud Wood an exceptional and seductive experience.

A sillage to which I myself was addicted.
Along the way.
Perceived.
Slight confusion.
Enthusiastic.
No.
Severely excited.
Turned around.
Walked behind, continued to be confused.
Befuddled.
Fog in head.
Where am I going to go.
The goal further in sight.
Slight derealization.
Tunnel vision.
Achieved the possible goal.
Courage mustered.
Not stuttering, yet uncertain.
"Excuse me"

An intimate night in Cuba, snowy landscapes surrounded by tonka trees adorned with cigarillos
Almost an abstruse title, but the fantasy of a dream place for this creation from the house of Tom Ford.

I land with a Cessna on the island, it was quite stormy, already dark and the island, a pure snow landscape. Not far from the runway a bar, around you flames rising from old oil drums, Chan Chan from the Buena Vista Social Club laid around my ears and the warmth of the bar was clearly felt.

The closer I got the more intense the scents there became, completely enveloping me just a few feet before I entered.
Full of euphoria I was greeted, downright kissed off from all sides.
One kiss was alcoholic, it must have been the rum, not the young one, the long matured one. The other was chocolaty and another smelled like cigarillos stretched with the best bourbon vanilla.

It was dreamy. There was a wonderful smell coming from the kitchen. An insanely attractive Cuban woman was serving sugared churros at the bar and even Flan I could make out.
Before I sat down I was offered that which I could perceive before.
I reached for my glass of Santiago de Cuba, took a sip and lit the cigarillo and enjoyed the atmosphere, the evening and the night, which I definitely did not spend alone

Beauty and the Beast
Inspired by Tom Ford Lost Cherry, that goes for me, as well as Mahsam Raza, the CEO & Owner of Dua Fragrance.

Believing LC could not be overtaken in sweetness and intensity by anything or anyone, I was proven wrong. The LC is great, that is beyond question. He is powerful, but can also be restrained and shy, depending on the dosage.
What is impossible, however, to hide completely. He stands out, you take him was and that subjectively seen very happy.

But the popped cherry, there helps with the best will nothing and I mean that in a positive sense. Try to hide him and will do everything possible to break out and once he has done it, then be sure, so quickly you, as well as your surroundings will not get rid of him.
Not because he is penetrating, not because he is unpleasant, but because he exists and that with an unimaginable volume over a very long time. He is clearly more powerful, even longer matured.
Sweet is no longer an expression here. One look and we suffer diabetes.

The play of the fragrance notes is gigantic and the cherry is permanently accompanied without ever giving way to the background.

In my eyes, an insane explosion on the skin and even more on the clothes.
Worn along with perfume after a day hung in the wardrobe, the next morning swept by a cloud when opening the doors through the room. Quite strong and a great composition of both houses!

Together in the middle of Tuscany, way up on the mountain
I can totally relate to any review where the association with Barbershop comes up, mine is yet another.

In the middle of a hot summer day after a cold shower and a shave finished with a touch of Pitralon.
Preparing for a night out with family and friends, I apply Beau de Jour. My hair is wet and my shirt, a white one, worn half open.
Leaving the stone house with white roses growing up it, I step onto the terrace in the middle of Tuscany and around me breathtaking vegetation, way up on the mountain.
The stone oven slowly comes up to temperature, the wine ice cold.
We come together.
We greet each other.
"Look how big Sofia has become by now"
We toast. Salute!
Nonno adds wood while Nonna yells, "Non bruciarti," which means nothing more than please don't burn yourself on the fire.
Both have a smile on their lips and know to have each other.
The family is laughing and enjoying themselves.
Crostini di fegato is served and as an aperitif Nonna already provides us with her Limoncello for dinner.
The sun meanwhile slightly disappeared behind the house, an insanely great orange tone surrounds the terrace as Nonno serves the lasagna and pizza.
We're surrounded by smoky aromas, fresh herbs, even citrusy notes, and as flowery a backdrop as you could ask for.

For dessert, and totally unexpected, Nonna handed us her best panna cotta with velvety fine vanilla.
It was so unexpected that I could hardly wait to indulge.
There was plenty of dancing throughout the evening, dreamy music blaring from Nonno's gramophone, and we enjoyed ourselves and enjoyed that moment, up there on the mountain.
