The Sultan's Oriental Garden!
Sultan Vetiver is a special fragrance, no doubt about it! A niche scent with character!
As the name suggests, vetiver plays the leading role. However, alongside the earthy and green vetiver, I initially perceive a relatively strong note of absinthe and pepper. The bergamot keeps the fragrance from being too sweet. At first, it is floral and green. I can only agree with the reviews that evoke associations with flower shops.
After a few minutes, a certain sweetness comes into play. I sense honey, even though it is not listed in the notes. I find this accord very clever and it makes Sultan Vetiver even more unique. A lovely subtle leather and amber also resonate in the drydown, giving the fragrance an oriental character.
In general, Sultan Vetiver reminds me of Turkey. These are scent impressions that I know and love very well from my second home!
The longevity is very good (easily over 8 hours) and the sillage is optimal. The surroundings are not overwhelmed, but you are definitely noticed. I believe Sultan Vetiver is not a compliment magnet, but it doesn't have to be! Niche and unique, that’s enough!
The fragrance is universally applicable! Personally, I like to wear it in spring and autumn as a daytime all-rounder. However, you certainly can't go wrong if the fragrance is worn in the evening for going out.
In summary, I see Sultan Vetiver as both floral and fresh, but sometimes also sweetly oriental! This complexity and the associations with Turkey have prompted me to buy the bottle. I find the price-performance ratio quite okay! Often, the fragrance can be found for under 140 euros for 50ml!
So if you ever feel like taking a trip to the Sultan's garden, then wear Sultan Vetiver from the Turkish niche house Nishane!

The Enduring Tea Enjoyment in a Bottle
This refreshing "endurance athlete" starts off very citrusy and incredibly refreshing. The tangerine, orange, and bergamot make it a bit sharp to my nose in the first few minutes, but that settles down relatively quickly. After that, tea lovers, of which I am one, get to enjoy it fully!
The oolong tea then takes command, while always leaving a bit of room for the citrus notes. These are constantly present, and the scent remains consistently citrusy and fresh. I can hardly perceive the fig accord, maybe just slightly in the background. The musk in the base is more noticeable!
The latter is probably one of the main reasons why Wulong Cha is so great and unique:
Finally, a freshie with performance! Yeah!
The scent lasts easily 8 hours on me, which is a world-class achievement for a citrus fragrance! The performance was also the decisive reason for purchasing the bottle. It simply had to be in my collection!
I see Wulong Cha as the perfect summer scent and use it at temperatures above 25 degrees, very gladly in everyday life. It refreshes me throughout the entire workday without tempting me to reapply. If I then add two sprays on my clothes, I can even go out for an "afterwork cocktail," and my nose will be caressed by fine tea notes!
Overall, a fantastic scent with great performance and an ideal companion in summer!
I find the price-performance ratio quite okay for what is offered! Wulong Cha is often on sale for under 100 EUR for 50ml and can also be found very frequently at the souk for very fair prices!
All in all, a clear recommendation to buy! One of the best summer fragrances of 2022 for me. An endurance athlete for sunny days!

The Game of Contrasts
The Acqua di Gio line has probably crossed almost every nose at some point. Therefore, I didn't really expect much from my sample of the Profumo flanker. I still wanted to test it, though. After the first spray, I was pleasantly surprised. Somehow, this game of contrasts has something interesting and unique about it. The aquatic and citrus notes, paired with pronounced incense and spices. I believe that the latter, along with the perfume concentration, contributes to the fact that the Profumo lasts longer than the classic AdG. The longevity, combined with the fact that it can be worn almost on any occasion and in any season, prompted me to buy a 40ml bottle. Since it is often on sale, the price-performance ratio is also good. Ultimately, it made its way into my collection and gets sprayed from time to time! So, opposites do attract :)

All's well that ends well!
Of the three "Citrus Stars" - UDEN, NIO, and KOBE, I find the latter the most exciting and creative! The other two representatives, especially UDEN, are certainly the more crowd-pleasing fragrances.
But now to Kobe: I decided to purchase a bottle because the scent is a true chameleon, and the scent development, especially after one to two hours on the skin, is fantastic! If it smelled the way it does at the beginning, I would have decided against the purchase. It starts citrusy, balsamic, and with a slight woody undertone. After spraying, it is, in my opinion, still very unbalanced. If you can get through the first 20 - 30 minutes, you will be rewarded with a fragrance experience that is unparalleled! Suddenly, the scent becomes woodier, at the same time softer, and thus more balanced without being boring. The piercing neroli bids farewell, and we become gentler, fruitier. It manages the balance between light and dark. After a few hours, Kobe even has a slightly oriental vibe (probably due to the oud). The longevity is very good. The sillage is optimal. It remains suitable for daytime wear, but you will definitely be noticed.
For me, Kobe is the epitome of a niche fragrance: versatile, independent, complex! You can smell the quality of the ingredients!
Due to its versatility, you can wear Kobe for almost any occasion and in any season. Therefore, for me, it is a must-have in the collection! So if you're not averse to neroli and can be patient after spraying, it's an absolute recommendation!

Chocolate Rose-Oud Combo on Steroids
Is it a price-performance hit??? In my eyes, it often depends on how you define price-performance.....
I admit I don't think Shaghaf Oud can compete with the big niche houses in terms of scent quality. But honestly, for the price, what is offered is quite acceptable. In terms of longevity and sillage, Shaghaf Oud probably outshines most fragrances.
The scent starts with a strong saffron, rose, and oud note. Very oriental! The highlight that sets it apart from typical rose-oud fragrances is the praline note. It becomes extremely gourmand. Sweetness taken to the extreme! However, due to the oud that resonates at every stage, I find it remains wearable outdoors!!!!
Regarding wearability in general: I mainly wear Shaghaf Oud in situations where I am outside, in the "fresh air." The scent projects so strongly that people in closed spaces would likely suffer from a sugar shock. I personally also find it very hard to tolerate when I am indoors. Two sprays are enough! (I am normally someone who tends to overdo it with the dosage). For this reason, one bottle lasts a long time, but I can think of few situations where I can actually wear the scent. In winter, I spend most of my time, like many people, indoors, and at temperatures above 8 degrees, I believe Shaghaf Oud is simply unbearable! Therefore, I can only recommend Shaghaf Oud with reservations.
For the low price, you can definitely buy the scent; the question is just when and where you wear it. The golden bottle is, however, a real eye-catcher on the shelf....
