A beautiful paradox
If I had to describe this fragrance in one word, it would be a paradox: vintage yet modern, cold yet warm, soft yet loud. Perhaps it is a quiet nod to the contrasts in the myth of Eros and Psyche, the love story that inspired its creation.
It is intoxicating and hauntingly beautiful. I imagine black and pink swirling together or the patterns shifting in a kaleidoscope.
The first sniff comes with a spark as peppery notes ignite in my nose like tiny fireworks. The scent itself is musky, with iris worked in such a delicate way. It feels unique, although I also smell similarities with Diptyque Orphéon, perhaps because both were created by the same perfumer, Olivier Pescheux?

Cardamom Heaven
Imagine sitting in an Arabic tea or coffee house, being served coffee, cardamom tea, and sweet dates, while incense gently burns in the background.
The richness of the dates greets you first, laced with a hint of saffron’s spice, but it’s the glorious cardamom note that truly makes my mouth water. Oh, so delicious. It lingers like a dream, leaving the softest, most enchanting wafts in the air. As it dries down, I pick up an incense-like vibe, probably from the dry woods, beautifully balanced by creamy vanilla, and to my nose, still that irresistible cardamom

Delicious Fig
MEΘEXIS (Methexis) is not your typical green fig fragrance—this is fig transformed into a decadent dessert. With notes of fig, dried fruits, honey, cocoa, and cinnamon, it feels like indulging in a luxurious fig pudding or, more specifically, a fig-and-honey crème brûlée I once had.
The fig here is creamy and luscious, capturing the rich flesh rather than the green, leafy aspects of the fruit. The honey note deserves a special mention: where honey can sometimes come across as sharp or overly pungent, here it is smooth, voluptuous, and perfectly rounded, adding depth without overpowering. As it dries down, a subtle powderiness from the cocoa emerges. With the base notes of Benzoin and Amber enhancing it's warm, gourmand character without straying from the figgy heart.
Wearing MEΘEXIS brings back memories of that unforgettable crème brûlée, its caramelized top breaking to reveal a silky, fig-laden sweetness beneath it. It’s a fragrance so delectable it might just tempt you to take a bite out of yourself.

This will be your catnip or your kryptonite
Guidance is the most unusual, yet compelling fragrance I have ever tried. It's so unique and ever-changing.
I love how for some, the pear is the strongest note, while for me, Frankincense and Akigalawood is what I mainly smell for the first hour. It doesn't open up with juicy pear for me, but rather a burst of spice.
My partner absolutely loves this and he is someone who is extremely picky with scents, while one of my work colleagues chased me after I passed by, just to say that she could smell what I was wearing from where she sat which was about 3 feet away. To her, it smelled like Attar - I didn't ask if that's good or bad as I was too bewildered.
However, this is not a safe blind buy as it will either be your catnip or your kryptonite. Once the spiciness settles, it dries down to a soft (not weak) sweet yet animalic scent with woody and ambery facets. I think it's the Akigalawood that comes off a bit like oud. Sometimes it appears to be powdery or creamy too, and just like other perfumes, this reacts differently to each individual's body chemistry. It's unusual, like a chameleon.
The projection and performance are out of this world. Your presence will be known. I've had this last on my skin even after a shower. On clothes, for days.
Guidance is elegant yet sensual and complex. It's as if they took feminine opulence and bottled it.
This fragrance takes you on a journey, and you let it be your guide

A gourmand vanilla with a twist
With Vanilla, Toffee and sandalwood highlighted as some of the main notes,
402 reminds me of my childhood; of being slathered in thick creamy and tacky sunscreen, swimming with my cousins and being sticky afterwards with Vanilla ice cream all over my hands and face.
While this opens up with Vanilla with a hint of spice, it melts into the skin. Think Vanilla ice cream with melted caramel on top giving it a sticky sweetness and the scent of sunscreen in the background. The dry down is Vanilla and sweetness.
In the hot and humid climate of the Maldives this gave me 6+ hours on the skin and clothes.
If you're not a fan of sweet fragrances, you might not enjoy this as it might be too cloying to some. I personally enjoy this a lot since it brings me such fond memories.
