Smellnize

Yaaa… where should I start? A few weeks ago, I saw it in duty free, nothing special, or was it? Price-wise, well, it didn’t catch my attention. This week, I had my self day, a day just for me. A round of shopping and a bit of browsing. First, at the jewelry store, where a woman with a casual look and headphones approached me, with such a beautiful sillage that I wondered what she was wearing. I didn’t want to ask, as I thought she probably wanted her peace, why else would she be wearing headphones? Well, I thought I wouldn’t waste any more time and just left, with the thought that I would regret not asking. Now I’m in another store, looking at beautiful bags. Again, I notice this lovely, clean scent that tickled my nose. But this time, it was fascinatingly beautiful, so intense that I thought - Is this the clean scent I’ve been searching for so long - floral, a hint of creaminess but really finely dosed. I see her again, this time in front of a mirror, adjusting her headphones. This is the moment, I thought, now or never. I approached her and asked. Valentino, she said, the pink one. And it happened. I ran to the next perfume shop and tested it. Unfortunately, it wasn’t as lovely as it was on her. It still didn’t catch on. Two days later at the souk, I found a large bottle at a fair price. Well, this time it worked, and I’m diligently testing it. Tomorrow will be the first test in front of friends, and I’m excited.

What’s passing by here, I thought - so aquatic and sweet at the same time. I was immediately enchanted. I ran after her to ask what she was wearing - long blonde hair, stylishly dressed - I was spellbound by the scent - “Divine by JPG” she said and I was shocked. I knew the fragrance, but I knew I would never reach for it, as sweet scents haven’t appealed to me lately / migraine. But this one was different. I ran into the nearest perfume shop and tried it out. The sample was immediately gone. A real eye-catcher, attractive like a magnet, not annoying, just beautiful, beautifully reminiscent of summer and the beach.

A must for gourmand lovers. This one smells like crêpe batter being prepared in the kitchen. I just wish I could smell more of the coffee note with it. But overall, the scent is beautiful. It is very soft and rounded and resembles Black Opium quite a bit. Unfortunately, I can't wear it all day or I start to feel sick, and to be honest, I don't want to smell like crêpes all the time.

A beautiful fresh vanilla that can be too overpowering when sprayed. Therefore, it really needs to be dosed well; otherwise, it can feel suffocating. I must say I am new to the perfume game, but this scent has something about it. I don't know anyone who doesn't like it, but maybe that's one of the reasons I wear it too rarely. The scent might be too mainstream.

Then after wearing it for the third time, I noticed something a bit harsh. It somehow seems too masculine to me. Which isn't bad - I think anyone can wear it. It just feels a bit scratchy. It doesn't seem as soft and rounded anymore.

I don't have that with the Caline version. Has anyone else noticed this? Well, I'll keep the tester :)

I like it….mhmm…or do I? The scent is floral, fresh, very grapefruit-heavy, which bothers me a bit. Therefore, it’s not as rounded as I would like it to be. I find the longevity completely okay, not bad but also not extraordinary. At least I can still smell it on my scarf in the evening.

However, it’s great for summer. I think the grapefruit serves its purpose here. But not as a signature scent.
