I found a perfect dupe
If you mourn the loss of Le Feu D’Issay, don’t despair!! German brand Éclat makes a really good dupe (No 052). Quality is amazing, and it costs under 20€ when on sale. I even like the minimalistic bottle that reminds me of Chanel Les Exclusifs line. The high shipping cost to the U.S. is the only downside I see. Enjoy!

Cozy green vanilla
YSL Manifesto is a cozy, warm vanilla that wraps you in a warm hug yet doesn’t overpower. I don’t get nose-blind to it, it keeps on pleasing me throughout the day. If you like Dior Addict, Guerlain’s Angelique Noire, Lancôme Hypnose and other green vanillas, you will probably also enjoy Manifesto.

Where is Apricot?
I bought it for the apricot, that is a fruit that I am nostalgic about. But I was disappointed. To my nose, I sense no fruity notes at all, simply loads of fluffy, powdery, delicious vanilla. I really like the middle and base, just feel like I never got to experience the top. The other CSP perfume that I own, Vanille Banana, does have a prominent yet brief banana top note; they feel very similar 30 minutes into the wear.

It’s for women too, especially cardamom lovers!
I love cardamom spice in food and love the way it plays out in EdB. This fragrance is so smoothly blended, and the combination of vanilla, tonka bean and cardamom is so delicious and sensual that I am surprised they don’t market it as unisex. I bought it for my husband, but it looks like I will be the one who uses it the most.

I just noticed that they removed “for men” from the packaging compared to the past design. I guess they do try to position it as unisex after all.

Works in summer, too!
The dark juice color, incense and spice notes, the votes that peg this fragrance as suitable for cold seasons… all of this made me expect a thick, heady fragrance. And it did smell somewhat strong from the decant. However, on my skin it is airy and smooth. It’s July, and I find it very appropriate and easy to wear now.

I agree that FeA transports you to a place. For me that place is an Orthodox church in late summer, warm wind blows in through open windows and brings the gentle smell of pine forest and dried fruit compote that someone is making next door.
