Long evening, much impression
Nuit d'Issey is so similar to Layton by PdM, though older, that I suspect it served a (perhaps big) little bit as a template. Issey Miyake is yes for a long time and rightly one of the larger manufacturers on the market, on which also houses like Marly should orientate.
The fragrance was a Christmas gift to me. And thank God, alone I would probably not have come up with the idea to buy him.

He fits perfectly to the cold season and also to the short days - and as his name suggests - of course to the night :)
And there he also wants to arrive well. The super fresh and somewhat sweet start of soft citrus wakes you up first again, before you are attracted by the well-harmonizing spices. A powerful mix of pepper, wood and leather. Definitely very masculine. Very present, alerting, but not penetrating.
He smells to me like a long, extensively danced through night. Some things blurred, some inhibitions became secondary, some things disappeared the next day, but one thing is for sure: the scent remains, if not on your skin, then in your head. And not just in your own.

Some say the same thing about Layton! Here is the cheaper alternative with a little less, but satisfying H/S.

Teenage Summer
In advance: if someone owns an old bottle or knows a fragrance that is very similar, please contact me!

Dear TH Man Sport, thank you for everything. Thank you for the summers I got to experience with you, thank you for bringing me to Perfume. Too bad you're gone and probably won't be back.
Tommy Hilfiger Man Sport was my first real perfume, a buy on first sniff at Douglas back when I was 16.

"Real" perfume because the scent is not as flat as you might expect from the name. A sweet-fruity opening, the tangerine and pineapple quite clearly in the foreground, harmonious, are accompanied very discreetly spicy. The transition to the fresh powder in the heart is smooth. And it is really fresh and especially powdery. Always went down well with the ladies of the heart :) Finally, the beautiful sandalwood note, which remains on the skin and makes him - combined with the development of the fragrance - a bit more "adult".
Clearly a companion for the summer, for the soft freshness kick after the shower, for the melancholy in the warm evenings, for the innocent dreams of what lies ahead as a teenager still so everything.

H/S are average. Unfortunately. And long he has not lasted me, he has tipped after 4 years. Nevertheless, he remains in my memory!

Stylish, subtle & mature.
What can I say - Bois d'Argent is not only a pleaser, all-rounder, compliment getter, it has become part of myself.

With a friend I was allowed to try this fragrance and was initially not exuberantly enthusiastic.
Sure - Dior Privée actually always convinces with quality and durability - that can also be seen at the First Riecher. But really much has not told me the fragrance at the beginning. Nevertheless, I soukte me 20ml and have learned to love him over time. Very learned to love.

The incense start is nothing unusual, nothing new, it is kept rather soft and does not pop you in the face as if you are an altar boy standing next to the priest. That is already times a big plus, because incense also likes to tarnish.
The composition, which arises after just under half an hour, is for me the most pleasant, most relaxing and at the same time most refreshing mixture, which I have smelled in this constellation to date. Quite clearly, the powdery Dior DNA can be recognized here, which the house realizes mostly through iris. This mixed with fresh musk, little amber and light woody note results in a stylish combination, discreet, not intrusive, tasteful and at the same time understatement. Probably this is what everyone means by "he smells like money". I didn't notice any mediocre sillage. People around me definitely noticed him from time to time. I think he is also not to impose himself big.

For me he has a very personal meaning. I met him at a time when I had to mature. And it is a really mature fragrance.
The bottle is on its way :)

Your favorite sports wine (without the headache)
Preliminary: To this day, I can not understand how such a fragrance at a really good price in the drugstore in my small town next to Diesel can stand.

Burberry London has been with me every winter for about 10 years, on and off, and for good reason. Not every day, but regularly enough to really get to know it.

As all the previous speakers confirm - London can be worn exclusively in winter.
And that's exactly where it belongs. Not that it can't do justice to cooler autumn days - but that's not where it wants to be.
London is like a Christmas holiday. Full of anticipation of good food, good beer, family and the comforting feeling of these days, you apply a few spritzes: London starts off very spicy with pepper and cinnamon. Direct, even subconscious associations to the spice stall at the Christmas market, speculoos, cinnamon stars come up. The transition to the port in the heart is fluid and similarly beguiling as a glass too much of it. Only without the headache :) Minimally sweet and a hint of fruit: The note gives at the same time the warmth, which gives you the security of Christmas.
And so the fragrance, if you briefly sniff the cap, reminds one (s) even in midsummer to the end of the year, the snow, the hot tea, the short days, the wool blankets, the peace, the coziness. Of all the beauty this time of year brings. London does exactly what a perfume should do.

In my opinion, London is massively underrated and worth at least a probiererle in the drugstore around the corner!
