Love on the 2nd nose
It took me a while to learn to appreciate oud minerals. And this although I like the PB fragrances of Tom Ford in the majority of cases.
At the airport in Birmingham before our return flight we had some time, so off to the duty freeing ;). Magically this TF corner always attracts me. With the other "createurs" nothing can knock me off at the moment. Actually, I wanted to sniff the fucking fabulous test sniffing, which I did, but somehow no "connection" between the scent and me. The seller said he would like oud minerals too. So I pulled this one through my nose. Oh, it's very tart and "rough". That was my first impression. Almost too much for me. Well, you don't have much time at the airport. So I was brave once and bought oud minerals.
Only after wearing it for the 3rd / 4th time, I suddenly noticed how good I like the scent and how great it develops in my body. Meanwhile one of my favourite "little waters". I am glad to have taken it at that time

Fantastic classic from the disco era .
Sometimes I don't understand why people hire such "treasures". ? Harmful ingredients inside? Does it make your chest hair fall out? Glyphosate in it? Who knows. Like all these "dinosaurs", it's not a quickie or a match for anyone. But one thing is for sure, if you overdose it, you will feel the olfactory plop.
The fragrance takes a while to get going before it presents its full spectrum. It is of course also related to the body odor of the wearer. Some people describe the scent as soapy, so it arrives at the beginning, but after about 2 hours it vanishes and it becomes really good.
Unfortunately only very very very expensive to buy and then you don't know if the stuff hasn't already fallen over. :-(
If someone can offer a bottling or miniature, very much so

Hmm yeah where best to start...
I'm actually always careful when I'm on holiday, if someone in a perfumery wants to "talk me up" something where neither the bottle nor the manufacturer really tell me anything. It's certainly connected with the fact that I don't know all the manufacturers and perfumers.
It was so with Bois D'oud of Perris. I was strolling through the shops and had no such concrete intention to buy, as far as scent was concerned. Only on the way back from the beach to the hotel. Yes, and then they always come up with the sales pitch " Would you like to try an extraordinary, good scent.. I always think "Yes, of course expensive plörre and nothing behind it" skepticism. ;-)
There was the whole armada of these golden flacons, of which I sniffed a few on strips. So all of these representatives were very idiosyncratic and intense, clear eau de parfum. Without looking closely at the bottles, I simply took what I intuitively liked best from the fragrance, that was Bois D'oud. To be honest, I didn't even wear it on vacation, but at home. I had sprayed it 3 or 4 times and I like the scent very much, but there is something in the composition that I can't stand from the aerosol. At the times when I wore it, I had to cough more. For this reason I will part with it again

It's a pity that you can't experience and test something so awesome in everyday perfumery chains
like a virgin to a child or something. (labour pains were definitely not in play) :-))
In this context I must once again mention the very competent and likeable Parfumo
"Greeni07", which made me aware of this fragrance in the first place. Thank you so much for this scent sample.
I was totally surprised that although the fragrance was only launched in 2016, it is not so easy to get on the Internet. Daniel Josier didn't say anything to me as a perfumer either, but that doesn't mean anything, because firstly I'm not the mega-expert and secondly I have to admit that this generally presented mainstream mishmash has also made me a bit comfortable when it comes to fragrance.
But now for the fragrance:
When it comes to leather fragrances, I'm always cautious about my person, because in the past it happened that I smelled like a rancid briefcase. For me it is also important that leather does not totally cover and dominate the other nuances and that especially when leather is involved, the fragrance undergoes a beautiful development.
Green Leather fulfills all these requirements. The leather doesn't kill you but is present, harmonizes and levels with the other notes.
Especially the incense and Amber did this to me.
Who knows my evaluations, knows that I never analytically describe the smell, and almost every second record, which note is perceptible when, but always judge according to my subjective feeling from the gut out.
I own the fragrance only recently, so I have worn it only 2 to 3 times.
I like the fragrance very much in all 4 categories mentioned above. Durability köööööö could be a bit better and for my taste - hears - the leather could get through a bit more in the further course of wearing but I think this is due to the unisex existence. But that's a very high level of whining. For those who are generally fond of leather fragrances without being beaten to death by a "leather case", Green Leather will definitely be something

So quiet.
This smell belonged also since always to those, which I sprayed sometimes on occasion in the shop sample, in order to then however again and again determine " Boah, so much of 'the godfather' is not in you at all.
And get rid of that stripe. Something has the smell, which I find good and which causes me to sniff again and again. I just can't say what behaves similar to the white kouros.

What's certain is, these scents just don't suit me. Period!
The older version of 83 is also no longer so easy to get, although its half-life can compete with that of Chernobyl.

Personally I have a special connection to trussardi uomo. It was the signature scent of my best friend, who unfortunately died of cancer much too early in 2016. ONLY for this reason I bought it and sometimes wear it as an honour to bring back my memory.
I remember the following lyrics:
Quote:
So Still,
That all of us knew this was
Forever,
Forever and ever and a life and it was
So quiet,
That each of us suspected, for this there's
Not a word,
That can ever describe the feeling.
So quiet,
That all the clocks were silent, yes, time came to a standstill,
So still and so lost were you,
So still and so lost you went away.
I've heard so much and yet it never gets to me,
That's why I can't sleep at night,
Even if I write a thousand songs of missing,
Doesn't that mean I understand?
Why this feeling remains forever.
So loud, the hours after the impact as it was considered,
All this to grasp and understand and it was,
So loud that everything we thought brought nothing but emptiness to us
So loud and so lost was it here,
When silence lived with us instead of you.
I've heard so much and yet it never gets to me,
That's why I can't sleep at night,
Even if I write a thousand songs of missing,
Doesn't that mean I understand?
Why this feeling remains forever.
So quiet, though I miss you with every day'
And wherever you are right now,
You show me that silence has now become your friend.
I've heard so much and yet it never gets to me,
That's why I can't sleep at night,
Even if I write a thousand songs about missing,
Doesn't that mean I understand?
Doesn't that mean I understand?
I've heard so much and yet it never gets to me,
That's why I can't sleep at night,
Even if I write a thousand songs about missing,
Doesn't that mean I understand?
Why this feeling remains forever.
