Amarena... no rather "Ama-leather-cherry"
I would like to share my impressions of "Cherry X | Kai Porten Parfums Privés" after testing it for 2 days now.

The fragrance description of Kai Porten is "Dark, mysterious, seductive and spicy-oriental in the course" and yes, this is 100% true.

The beginning starts directly with a beautiful cherry-almond combination that is by no means too sweet. During my first test, I admittedly had associations with a rather synthetic hubba bubba note, but I couldn't understand this association at all the second time around and found the cherry to be very successful.

As the fragrance progresses, it becomes darker and spicier. I would classify the spice as cinnamon/incense. Furthermore, there is a dark, not silky but still soft wood-leather combination that seems slightly balsamic and resinous and appears dry with the increasing spiciness. At the same time, the fragrance always retains a mild basic sweetness but also has something pungent and sour for me.

All in all, the fragrance is very complex and fulfills its promise of a long-lasting cherry. For me, however, it seems too dense and tightly woven and therefore rather pompous.

Unfortunately, Kai Porten doesn't hit my mark.

Admittedly, I had pre-ordered the fragrance after "Oud 31 | Kai Porten Parfums Privés" didn't meet my taste either, but it earned my appreciation.
With "Cherry X | Kai Porten Parfums Privés", I had hoped for something more along the lines of "Lost Cherry (Eau de Parfum) | Tom Ford", fruity and gourmand. Instead, an oriental spice comes around the corner here, which takes up the cherry theme for itself.
When Kai Porten says "more pleasing", he certainly doesn't mean "simple" or "mainstream". And I think that's exactly what fans of dark oriental and spicy fragrances will really like.

A word about the bottle and packaging. I think it's very successful.
Admittedly, the packaging is as small as it could be, almost unusually discreet compared to the opulence usually offered by the well-known niche houses. Is it all just cost-cutting? ... Yes, perhaps ... Nevertheless, everything looks high-quality, with attention to detail. The bottle itself is a dainty cube with pleasantly rounded edges that feels great in the hand. High-quality metal plaque and a heavy, well-fitting lid with engraved logo. The "juice" has a beautiful intense coloration, almost amber in color.
Next to many other bottles on the shelf, the Cherry X looks downright tiny, and somehow that makes it stand out again.

A mood enhancer
Hello dear community,
I've only tried Tiziana Terenzi on a random basis so far and haven't quite warmed to the house yet. However, when I bought a collection of samples, this fragrance was included and what can I say, it impressed me so positively that I ordered the bottle directly at a good price.

After spraying it on, the fragrance starts off spicy, sweetly floral but also a little fresh and fruity at the same time and has a pleasant lightness. For me, the impression of the top note lasts relatively long (>1h), with more and more balsamic woods and an elegant light rose joining in, making the fragrance drier and drier. The very light oud is never animalic to my nose.
As the oud unfolds, it also gives the impression of a light leather note, which, if you concentrate on it, always smells like wood to me.
In the drydown, the fragrance remains sweet and dry and is dominated by very light woods.

The longevity of the fragrance is above average for me. You can still feel it directly on the skin the next day.

What I liked about the fragrance is the certain lightness and light-heartedness that it conveys. The fragrance seems a little crazy, also works with certain (slightly) contrasting impressions and radiates joie de vivre for me.
The fragrance simply puts me in a good mood and reminds me not to always take everything, and perhaps especially myself, too seriously.
I also really like the unusually light woody notes.

For me, the fragrance is exactly 50:50 unisex.

Edit: About my price rating. You can get the fragrance in some stores for less than half the RRP. At ~2€/ml I think the fragrance is very good.
