Incredibly beautiful scent, unfortunately with a big deduction in points
I recently snagged Bois D'Iris at the Souk.
Since it was a blind buy and I love powdery scents, I was super excited and was not disappointed when it arrived - at least not by the scent DNA, which is incredibly wonderful.
I really love Dior Homme Intense and have always been looking for a similar, slightly feminine scent DNA, and after testing Bois D'Iris for the first time, I thought, wow! I have finally (and by chance) found my more feminine alternative to DHI.
UNFORTUNATELY, Bois D'Iris seems to have almost no sillage on me; I can barely smell it on my wrist just 10 minutes after spraying it..... super, super disappointing.
Therefore, I now layer Bois D'Iris only with DHI, and that gives me my sillage.
However, I must say that you can almost only smell DHI this way, but at least it has a slight feminine touch.

Early Shift at the Nursing Home
I first got to know this fragrance about 3 years ago through my job at the nursing home. One morning, I cared for a lady who was pretty much the only one in the entire living area who even owned perfume. She was a very classic, elegant, and above all, extremely polite woman. On her bedside table were Elizabeth Arden white tea and D&G light blue intense. Presumably, her daughter had brought her the fragrances, as the lady was severely demented and could no longer even comprehend what perfume was. After her body care and getting dressed, I decided to spray her with 2 spritzes of light blue intense, which she found very pleasant. I then took her to the dining room for breakfast and picked her up about 1-2 hours later. During that time, I noticed what a strong sillage this fragrance seems to have, at least for her. She sat at her table the whole time, and you could smell the fragrance from 2 meters away. A super beautiful fresh scent that, in my opinion, suits every age group and will probably remind me of the lady from the nursing home for the rest of my life.

Too mainstream for many - yet beautiful
A fragrance that I feel every one of my friends owns, yet I can still smell and love to this day! This heavy, cozy vanilla almond scent is simply beautiful. For me, it fits best in the autumn/winter season - and especially during Christmas time. Just an all-around scent to feel good and snuggle up with.
