Green Wood pour Homme by Dsquared2
(REVIEW) Green Wood pour Homme by Dsquared2

Green Wood is a woody aromatic fragrance fragrance for men released in 2019 by the Italian luxury fashion house Dsquared2 based in Milan and owned by Canadian fashion designers and twin brothers Dean and Dan Caten.

Very herbal and green fragrance with strong wood background Green Wood is at the same time a fresh spicy fragrance with a smooky profile.
It's a really enjoyable scent that has character and is very wearable when you want to smell freshly clean and nice. A modern take on fresh green woodsy and resinous fragrances, without becoming harsh or come out as raw or nauseating.

With the help of the lemon and Santolina notes you feel like walking through green woods in a fresh spring morning when the soil is still dewy. The dry down takes a darker path and kind of gives you the sensation of a deeper night in the forest as it becomes more earthy and dirt from the Vetiver and Cypriol Oil notes.

It's a fragrance that almost becomes balsamic with its intensity right on spot, it makes me recall the smell of some of the oils used on massage from the SPA at my work place. Those therapeutic aromas that instantly make you feel relaxed and comfortable.

Comes packed in a beatiful soft touch velvet green box, with a magnetic cap bottle.

Projection is amazing although not long lasting, it blasts off from the first spray and as time moves forward to the dry down you will still get wiffs of that green woodsy citrus blast, the scent itself can get you a performance around the 7 hour mark.

Top: Lemon, Burbon Pepper, Santolina
Middle: Vetiver, Cedar, Resins
Base: Ambroxan, Cypriol Oil or Nagarmotha, Musk

White by Lalique
Lalique White is a citrus aromatic fragrance for men released in 2008 by luxury art house Lalique and created by Christine Nagel.

White has a kind of spicy earthy scent, you can feel the lemon leafs the Cedarwood and Oakmoss create a nice woods atmosphere, it smells raw on the first spray like lemon leafs ripped from the tree or lemons freshly harvested into a basket on a dewy morning.

This fragrance has a vivid effect, refreshing and uplifting but at the same time puts you at ease and relaxed.

One of the few fragrances I know that uses the tamarind note. Tamarind is a fruit/legume that produces a citrus sweet and sour paste with notes of smoke and caramel. With a sweetness like lemonade it has many uses around the world including on fragrances and cosmetic, food, beverage and even to polish metal.

This tamarind note, the elemi resin, the white pepper, the lemon leafs, garnish this scent with that raw feeling of natural ingredients, a very green spicy aroma, wrapped in a creaminess woodsy and slightly floral aura. If you're a fan of fragrances like John Varvatos Artisan Pure or L'Eau D'Issey this is a must have.

Lalique White is very clean, gentle and inoffensive and yet mysterious, because something in it makes it unique, it has texture, character, it's artistic and well balanced.

Projection is quite nice for the first hour and half. It develops to a calming almost balsamic scent on the dry down and can last you easily 7 to 8 hours on skin.

Top: Lemon Leaf, Bergamot, Tamarind, Elemi
Middle: White Pepper, Nutmeg, Cardamom, Violet
Base: Cedar, Musk, Oakmoss, Amber

Citrus Tonic by Oriflame
Citrus Tonic is a citrus aromatic fragrance for men released by Swedish cosmetic company Oriflame in 2014 and having Master Perfumer Nathalie Feisthauer as the nose behind this composition.

Citrus Tonic is a really simple minimalist fragrance that works, it's a fresh summer bomb and a "get what you paid for" type of scent. Nothing groundbreaking but somehow a really nice fresh woodsy citrus fragrance very pleasant, light and airy.

Carefree but at the time very refined, Citrus Fruits, Guaiac and Cedar Wood are the dominant notes to compose this aromatic inoffensive scent. It opens up sharp transitioning to a Berry fusion and a slight warmth on the wooden dry down.

Great for everyday spring and summer use or whenever you want to feel fresh an clean, projection is not that great so you can go heavy on the trigger without disturbing the people around you, in that way you can slightly notice it in the air and be pleasant to others when they're nearby.

The minimalist packaging and bottle are exquisite, the fragrance itself it won't last you long and it won't project like a beast, but it will be quite enough for summer casual wear, simplicity is the word and it's how this fragrance should be classified.

Overall it's a nice energetic spring summer scent, suitable for every occasion especially when you need something invigorating and uplifting.

Zara Men Day Collection 02 No Plans
No Plans is a woody aromatic fragrance for men part of the 2021 release masculine Day Collection by the attire and accessories company Zara.

Classified by Zara as a citrus tonic, No Plans is a scent very heavy on the citric notes with the bergamot, specially the bergamot peel, being the predominant note on the fragrance. Very fresh and clean scent like lemon shower gel a little bit synthetic.

Vibrant, uplifting and green like lemon splash makes it a nice fragrance for really hot days, to carry on your bag to the gym or just to spray it on a casual T-shirt and shorts day.

The note of pear also grants this scent a fruity vibe with the Pamplewood molecule reinforcing the woodsy citric accords.

Overall it's a nice casual summer, relaxed and pleasant fragrance very refreshing and energising, perfectly unisex but nothing groundbreaking. Reminds me a bit of 4mbrox1d3 release by the same brand on the dry down. A little bit volatile, projects for the first hour, hour and half, after that you get whiffs of it now and then. Not the best performance that goes around the 5 hour mark so be prepared to carry a decant if you want to refresh yourself, or go heavy on the trigger.

Top: Bergamot
Middle: Pear
Base: Pamplewood

Bad Intense by Diesel
Bad Intense by Diesel is a woody spicy fragrance launched in 2017 by the Italian multinational fashion brand Diesel. It's the first, or one of the first fragrances, to include the note of caviar on its blend allied with sweet white tobacco.

This caviar note, more like a marine ambergris note, makes this amber bomb fragrance an amazing attention grabber and compliment getter perfect for autumn, winter and colder days in general.

A well blended scent that opens up with notes of cinnamon, nutmeg and white tobacco with a hint of bergamot on top plus the saltiness of the caviar note. Wild and characterful, extremely long lasting fragrance, gives you 12 hours plus on skin, around the 3 to 4 hours projection mark and can still be sensed on clothes after several days have passed.

It's an overall rich, very spicy, warm, versatile and crowd pleasing aroma, different and remarkable enough to leave your signature wherever you go. It works amazingly in close encounters since it's very masculine and sexy.

Kind of under the radar fragrance, it will be a nice addition to your collection since it doesn't get the attention it deserves on the community and so there aren't many people wearing it, which will make you stand out from the crowd when you spray it on.

Top: Cinnamon, Nutmeg, Bergamot
Middle: Caviar
Base: White Tobacco, Woodsy Notes
