Oh no, my caramel is burning!
First of all:
Unfortunately, it is again the case that it was strongly inspired by something else. However, overall I have to say that this perfume is a big victim of social media hate and definitely doesn't deserve the 6.3.

First impression:
When I received the bottle I sprayed it on a strip and thought to myself "hmm this looks very familiar". And yes it does, a quick sniff around my collection and yes "Le Vestiaire - Babycat | Yves Saint Laurent", or so I thought. 10 minutes and a good 30 sniffs later, it had more of a By the Fireplace vibe, but with more burnt sugar than marshmallows, not my favorite, but not a huge turn-off either. After that, the scent doesn't really change much more, the three notes remain present and there's no real nice depth, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it's just boring. The sandalwood seems more like smoke and the vanilla is a little in the background, the sugar also stands out, gives the whole thing a nice sweetness, but just seems a bit like burnt caramel.

First wear:
A day later, the strip still smelled, so I thought, yes, I'll wear it today. And it was relatively the same, strong, boring and no real depth, even though the vanilla comes out a bit stronger. The only thing that changed was the opening, you can hardly smell much more like the By the Fireplace and this "Le Vestiaire - Babycat | Yves Saint Laurent" kind of scent. Of course, the performance is not as incredibly strong as on the test strip, but that's normal.

Conclusion:
Overall, not a bad fragrance, but not on the normal Dior level. I don't always want to put Francis down, but I don't think he's good here at Dior, even though I really like his MFK perfumes. But no matter what you want to say, it's not a 6.3 and doesn't deserve to be.

MFK = Does Fragrance Kaputt?
Like most people here, I am also extremely disappointed. The well-known, beautiful, potent Dior Homme line has probably come to an end here. The signature of the line is completely lost, as is the power of the fragrance. Fortunately, I didn't buy it as a whole bottle, otherwise I would have been really annoyed, it looks chic, but the fragrance smells so synthetic. It's a concoction of a few ingredients that are supposed to imitate Dior Homme Parfum, but unfortunately that didn't work. And when you consider that they keep pushing the prices up, you can't think of anything else to do but laugh about it. It's so unbelievably ridiculous, this quality drops from cheap good high designer to niche down to 10€ Lattafa, but even those have better quality and don't take the piss out of the buyer. Demachy not making the fragrances anymore is a huge loss for Dior and I hope the path they are taking will change soon.

Conclusion:
Overall, you have to say that you realize that this is all about exploitation, you no longer want to create a beautiful fragrance, you just want to make a quick buck. MFK is not a bad perfumer per se, but he is in the wrong place here. If you want to try it, go for it, maybe someone will like it after all, but for me and almost everyone else it's nothing.

A butter cookie with vanilla and lemon
A few days ago I was craving something sweet, but not gummy bears or chocolate, just cookies, so I go downstairs, open the fridge and next to a few small rolls of Princes there were also small packets of other cookies, unfortunately I can't remember what they were called, but I'll never forget them.

When I unwrapped the cookie and took the first bite, I immediately knew that the smell was familiar. Where do I know this taste from? Or is it the scent? I've got it, it's Ani Extrait de Parfum! I ate the cookies enthusiastically, it was an explosion of vanilla and citrus flavors, so incredibly delicious. I rarely wore the Ani myself before, it wasn't that I didn't like it, but I found other things better. Mainly because I couldn't associate this fragrance with anything. No matter how many reviews I read, nothing was really conclusive. But thanks to these few cookies, I liked the scent again, I enjoyed smelling it and I finally knew what it smelled like. My first love
About 5 years ago I got my first perfume, I was never the type for it, but then on Christmas Eve 2019 I got the Emporio Armani - Stronger With You as a gift. I was thrilled and 2 years later I had 5 fragrances, all cheaper designers, but nothing that screamed class. So I went on a search, popping into a perfumery here and there but not smelling much until I went to Breuninger. A store with brands I had only dreamed of, including Xerjoff. So what do I do, of course? Spray my nose on a strip and uff, that's strong..... Did I perhaps hold my nose too close to it? So I smell it again, but a little further away and this time. Wow, that smells... incredibly good. Unfortunately, I then had to go home, but the test strip was taken with me, but unfortunately forgotten. 3 days later I'm wearing the same jacket again and reach into my pockets. I take out a test strip, smell it and it's still super present.
This great depth of vanilla and honey framed by a pleasant, fresh lavender note, incredible. My mouth was watering and I knew I had to have this fragrance, so I went back to the perfumery and put it on my skin. And this time it was 10 times better, the tonka bean comes through more strongly, the sweet tobacco is also perceptible and you can finally feel the citrus, for me, like a dream.

I've now finished my 4th bottle, but unfortunately I have to say that it has lost a lot of its performance, but it will remain in my heart forever and no matter how many bottles I own, it will always be special.

The best apple pie in the world
it's the depths of winter and Lina and her mother Marie have been invited to dinner at Grandma Margaux's house. It's now 7 pm, it's already dark outside and, as befits winter, it's snowing like Mrs. Holle!!

Lina: Mom?

Mother: Yes, my darling?

Lina: I'm hungry, when will we be there?

Mother: In a moment my darling, we'll be there soon.

Lina: Okay. And why is it snowing so much?

Mother: Because it's Christmas time, my angel. Only 5 more days, then it's Christmas Eve.

Lina: Yay, presents again at last.

Mother: Have you been good this year, or does Santa have no reason to come?

Lina: I was really nice because I want lots and lots of presents too.

Mother: Well, that's all right then.

*10 minutes later

Mother: So my angel, we're here. Come on, get out of the car.

Lina: Yes, Grandma. Hnfff hnfff, but what smells so delicious here?

Mother: Why don't you ask Grandma yourself?

( Ding Dong)

Grandma: Oh, hello my child, it's nice that it's you. And my little angel is here too, I'm delighted.

Lina: Hello grandma. Mom told me to ask you what smells so good here.

Grandma: hahahaha, why don't you go and see for yourself? Come on, take off your shoes and follow me into the kitchen. And you too Marie.

Lina: Okay, are you coming mom?

Mother: Yes, I know that smell only too well. Every year anew and every time it's the best of the pre-Christmas season....

Lina: Wooow

Mother: Grandma's apple pie

*The rest of the evening was spent with lots of laughter and pouring apple pie, until it was time to say:*. again

Mother: Unfortunately, it's much too late, we have to leave now and the little one has already fallen asleep anyway.

Grandma: Yes, you're right, but at least she enjoyed it too.

Mother: I think we all did, after all it's the best apple pie in the world.
