Have a good May the 1st!

In Greece we say too many phrases that start with the adjective or adverb καλό / καλώς so let's translate these two words. καλός, καλή καλό (ka'los, ka'li,ka'lo) means good in the three genders male-female-neutral. The word καλώς (ka'los) means well ,it is an adverb. So some examples for today: καλημέρα!/ kali'mera :is good morning! καλό μήνα/koa'lo 'mina means have a good month. καλή εβδομάδα/ ka'li evδo'maδa means have a good week! καλό σαββατοκύριακο!/ ka'lo savvato'kyriako means have a good weekend καλώς όρισες / ka'los 'orises means welcome to [my home] or welcome to [our hotel]  or welcome to[ Greece!] Let's look at some things you can only see, taste and get in Greece.

Cold frapp'e coffee. It's strong instant coffee with added sugar or no sugar that gets creamy with a little amount of milk and an electrical or battery hand blender. It is served with ice cubes in it!

fredo espresso is hot doppio espresso with or without sugar served with ice cubes.

The eye charm. It is a lucky charm for your business or your home. Usually hung on a wall. However, there are eyes charms to place on coffee tables, or on your bracelet jewellry.

The sunlight and how it reflects on the sea and buildings at the Greek Aegean islands. In the photo you are looking at Egiali, Amorgos. ,*The photo of the oils on canvas painting is portrait of the month of May by Yiannis Tsarouchis. Greek painter well known internationally.

Hi, @Tzapan.
Honestly, I was depressed when you announced May 1st. Lol, it's been so long already...? I felt like that. (Unrelated to the article)
By the way, there is a place called Zakynthos Island in Greece, right? When I saw the blue of the sea you introduced, I was reminded of the Ghibli film "Porco Rosso". I don't know if you know it, but you can watch it on Netflix. (Probably) However, as of April 10, 2023, entry to this area has been prohibited by order of the Greek government, right? I'm sure Hayao Miyazaki has visited this land. Amorgos Island and Zakynthos Island are in opposite directions, though. I'm sure the director may have drunk this coffee.
There are countless islands in Japan, but the Aegean Sea is still beautiful. It's wonderful. I'm very, very envious.

@Tzapan Wow, that's the origin of the name. I walked around it on Google Earth, and it's a wonderful place. Islands are something people long for. Miyazaki Hayao likes remote islands, so he must have chosen it as the setting. I'd like to go there someday.

@Tzapan People in my country don't vote either. I wonder if that's because there are so many islands? (Well, that's not the case...)
It's not available on Netflix in Japan, so I use a UK VPN. It's my favorite Ghibli film, and the main character's hideout is on the island of Zakynthos. It's an island I've always wanted to visit since I was a child.

The Greek government ,I do hope it is towards its ending. The majority of the citizens do not like this government. The Greeks must go and vote the next elections. It is unfortunately true that 45% of the people do not vote. Either because they live and work abroad or because of political apathy. This way though anf some other ways tyrans prevail?
