Rose fragrances for men.

To begin with we must mention a time such as the Renaissance when perfumers did not make fragrances for men and fragrances for women. Perfumers in Florence and Venice made perfumes then for people not for men or women. Nowadays though, in the West we are accustomed to the notion of fragrances for men and fragrances for women. I believe the designer who broke this separation with his niche series of fragrances was Tom Ford. For example he launched Black orchid edp for women but pretty soon this fragrance got very popular among men too. He launched Noir Extreme for men , the fragrance was adored by women perhaps more than men. Certain fragrances he launched as unisex but got more popular among women or among men. The idea for this article is that in the wild wild West we still see the note of rose as girly stuff, not suitable for men. Sorry I am using this type of prose but we must understand that perfumers do not discriminate flowers according to our sex. Of course as a matter of taste men are allowed to dislike rose as a note in fragrances. But there are also women who dislike rose as a note in fragrances. So that is fair enough! And now I can tell you which rose fragrances i keep in my collection and find them all so fascinating and even bold to wear. Floral Sculpture is so delicious for me but you must appreciate the middle Eastern perfumery. The notes in Parfumo are totally wrong. This is an amber musk with ambergris based floral fragrance which opens with bergamot and pink carnations and pink roses, probably centifolia roses plus benzoin and creamy patchouli. The maker also mentions pink peonies,but my nose can't pick them. I also have no clue what peonies smell like! The scent is vibrant and beautiful and very energetic , it's fresh but also a bit metallic and not particularly sweet. All the sweetness comes from the benzoin which elevates these flowers high in the air around you. and the patchouli, the amber is of great quality but the musk along with the ambergris give the amber a metallic salted vibe. Midnight Amber is so great ,made to last forever and it is leathery saffron,oud, amber wood, rose, insence, patchouli and geranium leaves, woods, birch and benzoin. No sugar here. Smokeyl and resinous amber. And yet the rose and the amber wood along with the benzoin and olibanum create a sweet effect after all . The disadvantage here is the absence of any alcohol which has been replaced by loats of linalool a vegan transparent oil. I cannot guarantee that it won't stain your clothes, it is probably easily washed out but if you get it make sure you only spray on your skin. And my all time favorite (I can use it almost all of the seasons of the year) is: Pure Twist Debois This a freshie unisex. I love it as it is green but not too sharp or bitter. It is not sweet either. It's just perfect for a clean musk amber. Not too powdery either. This one has only one enemy and it is very hot climate, otherwise it lasts for long on my skin. It doesn't have a huge trail but it is a fragrance that you wear for you and not for others I guess! Greetings girls and boys.
