Perfect for those who aren't adventurous
If you don't really like to experiment with different scents and switch up how you want to smell every now and then then I absolutely recommend this perfume. Like everyone else says, its smell is very reminiscent of Baccarat Rouge 540, just a little more soft on the nose and fruity. The first spray of this perfume opens up with a creamy pear & lavender scent that as time goes on, dries down to a more vanilla and musky smell (I honestly struggle to smell the coconut, which is nice since I don't like how overpowering coconut can be in perfumes). It's a very safe smell and you will definitely get compliments wearing it every now and then with this fragrance as it's a super popular one (for good reason). If you seek to have one main perfume then I'd recommend this - its longevity is decent and it sprays really nicely, just like Ariana's other perfume bottles.
A Short n' Sweet scent, literally
This fragrance is one that will make you crave sweets almost immediately upon first spray. It has this creamy and somewhat sickly chocolate marshmallow opening that dries down pretty quickly into a very sweet coconut scent. It's a lovely scent really - the major problem for me however is that it just doesn't last! It almost has the longevity of a body mist which for an EDP is terrible, I shouldn't have to be spraying this constantly on myself. The spray is also very stiff and at times flimsy, I don't like the sound of how it sprays as well. I think the scent of this perfume can make up for its lackluster longevity and spray, however for a celebrity fragrance this is expensive for something that doesn't even last an hour on myself. The bottle design is cute though.
This definitely surprised me
This was a blind buy and before smelling it for the first time, I was expecting a milky vanilla scent. That milky vanilla is definitely present in this perfume but I was actually quite taken aback by how fresh and fruity it also smelled, yet it's not overwhelming whatsoever and altogether gives off what I would consider a 'clean girl' fragrance. It's a safe smell but absolutely not a bad one, this is something I would consider great for everyday wear. I also think it smells really similar to the SDJ 40, but in my opinion smells better and less synthetic than that one. As for the bottle, it's nice but feels a bit cheap to hold. Like Ariana's previous perfumes, spraying this is so satisfying to my ears. The longevity is kinda meh but that's not surprising considering the scent is very soft. I would consider this one a safe blind buy and if you like to smell clean and also love vanilla scents, this is perfect for you.
Smells better once dried down
This scent is probably the most wintery scent of my collection. On first spray this has a spicy berry vanilla scent that isn't exactly the type of scent I love... but when it dries down, the berry scent disappears and you get this lovely warm, cozy vanilla and cocoa scent and it is to die for. Its longevity is decent however spraying this bottle is genuinely a nightmare. I'm not sure if I got a dodgy bottle but the spray is stiff and flimsy and has been since I first got this perfume. I find it doesn't spray very much either. I will say though, the bottle is gorgeous and I can excuse it being somewhat awkward to hold while spraying because of how lovely it looks. Overall it's a pretty good perfume, it's actually quite a unique take on vanilla scents and I definitely understand why it's popular but I would never wear this during the summer, and as said before I'm not huge on the initial scent this perfume has.
A luscious scent that's surprisingly suitable for every season
This fragrance is definitely the standout from the Viva la Juicy line. It has a rich gourmand take on the original VLJ whilst maintaining its original flirty and fun DNA and it results in this delicious, sexy scent that in my experience has garnered me numerous compliments when I've gone on a night out. What I also really appreciate is how flexible the scent of this perfume is - it works for cold winter nights but would also work for warm summer evenings. Many complain about the VLJ bottles and while I actually think they're cute despite the massive bows, to be quite honest, I'm not the biggest fan of Gold's hot pink 'Couture' on the front and its polka-dot bow. And while this perfume is a little much for everyday use - and its longevity leaves a lot to be desired - I absolutely recommend getting this perfume if you want to smell appetizing and seductive for a night out.
