One big vanilla cupcake

This fragrance was my first introduction to gourmand scents. When I first smelt Fantasy it was love at first sniff. It was unique, girly, deliciously sweet and intoxicating.

When you first spray Fantasy you are met with a slightly sour burst of tropical kiwi fruit. This however does not last long and eventually the fragrance warms into a soft, vanilla cupcake served fresh from the oven.

My ex-boyfriend affectionately called me 'cupcake' whenever I wore Fantasy, and although I wouldn't describe this fragrance as sexy or seductive, it can be very inviting and playful. The bottle is also very cute and feminine and looks absolutely fantastic on my dresser.

If there were ever a scent-olympics, Fantasy would win the lasting-strength marathon by a mile. I spray this on at 8 in the morning and I can still smell it later that night.

I have been known to wear this scent during the day and also out at night. I have even worn Fantasy on a few casual dates because it has the ability to create a somewhat romantic mood.

This is once again another exceptional fragrance from Miss Britney Spears.

Sweet & Gourmand

Fantasy is such an iconic perfume from Britney. It is her 2nd perfume and it became more popular than Curious. Fantasy is the first perfume ever that I've got and that is the perfume that made me collect celebrity perfumes. The box has a very Fantasy-esque design. Pink, white, green and blue. The bottle is a basic pink round bottle with green crystals on it. At the initial spray, you get that strong gourmand scent with a hint of citrus that will stay on you for a long time. The cupcake and white chocolate give that gourmand scent and the quince is the note that has a little citrus vibe. It directly reminds me of a pastry! When you enter, you smell that gourmand & sweet paradise. I really like Fantasy! And it also reminds me a lot of memories since it was my first ever perfume! Everyone should try this! If you like sweet and gourmand scents, this one is for you!

A fragrance apparently inspired by the dessert trolley !

A very different looking bottle... and a very different sort of scent... like opening a BIG box of luxury candies & chocolates. This will be too too much for some to wear, and it is very decidedly a "girlie" fragrance.

All in all, a wild mixture of cupcake flavours, quite an experience.

The most Y2K girl perfume

I'm going down memory lane with these reviews lately. This used to be my signature scent for years! This fragrance immediately reminds me of portable CD players, the motorola Razr hot pink flip phone that had us all on a chokehold, MTV when it was actually MTV, and the telenovela Rebelde (iykyk).

I really have to give this perfume props for having such a distinct and unique scent that's completely unmistakable. In such way that I have no other perfume to compare it to. It is definitely very sweet, warm, yummy, fruity with a hint of sexy, and just smells like fun! I remember it would last ALL DAY, stick to anyone you hugged, and linger for days in the car. I always loved that it had a really nice, kind of oily consistency which made it feel rich-- probably what made it last so long.

Although I will always have a special place in my heart for this fragrance, I'm afraid I wouldn't be able to pull it off anymore. At least not for daily use like I did ages ago. Maybe one day on a girls night out, who knows.

The scent of the 2000s - pure girly nostalgia

As someone that doesn’t consider themselves a “gourmand-lover”, I absolutely love this and for many reasons. It’s affordable, it’s STRONG, it’s inviting, it’s sweet, but not in a sickening way, it’s fun, and it’s sexy! Like who wouldn’t like a fragrance that has have all these qualities? Just kidding, fragrances are subjective and people are allowed to like what they like and hate what the hate, but this is one is so good and IMO, is one of the best celebrity fragrances to ever hit the market.

Fantasy is a combination of fruity, gourmand, slightly floral and slightly woody notes, with distinct kiwi + quince notes. It starts off very sweet, but then dries down to a woody-musky scent without giving up all the tropical, sweetness. Personally, I haven’t smelled anything else really like it, and I think that’s what I love about it as well. Yes, it can come off a bit “juvenile” or young, but honestly, who cares? If you’re looking to smell more mature or grown, maybe avoid this. But if you don’t mind switching up your vibe from time to time and are okay with sweet scents, give this a try.

Fantasy is an easy reach, a crowd pleaser, lowkey a man eater, and an overall wonderful fragrance. Fine to wear in any season, day or night. I will probably always have a bottle of this in my collection because for what it’s worth, it is really spectacular.
