A Royal Encounter
A cool morning. The breath mingles with the crisp winter air as the first spray hits the skin. Warm, gentle, almost like a veil of mist on an early morning. No intrusion, as if it has always been there.

The first minutes are filled with a delicate tea note, bitter and aromatic, as if one were sitting at a dark wooden table while the world outside slowly awakens. A hint of iris clings to the fragrance, cool, powdery; even though it can be quite enveloping, the scent speaks not of excess but of restraint and class.

Oud, the namesake centerpiece, always remains in the background, almost invisible, just a whisper of exotic depth that lends a subtle warmth to the whole.
Instead, sandalwood spreads out, creamy, soothing, as if the cold of the day is slowly dissolving into comforting warmth.

Every step, every movement leaves a trace that does not demand attention but rather captures it casually, a scent that offers trust without demanding it.
It is made for almost every day in colder Germany, for moments of stillness in which thoughts become clear.

Whoever wears this fragrance chooses consciously. No coincidence, no impulse. It is a decision.
For me, it is the first perfume that gives me such a feeling of security. Perhaps it reminds me of something from my childhood? I do not know, but I can only recommend everyone to test this scent, as it has truly grown dear to my heart in such a short time.

H/S are well above average for me.

Leather with a touch of sweetness and spice
In my opinion, the Atkinsons brand is one of the most underrated brands in the perfume game. Alongside Oud Save the King, many other great scents receive little hype, and even the flagship Oud Save the King Eau de Parfum is unknown to most.
I found it all the more delightful to test this fragrance as a blind buy in the souk. The notes spoke for themselves, a heavy scent for the cold days.
And that is exactly what this fragrance is. It is heavy and envelops you with an aura that is not commonly experienced.
The scent opens with a strong oriental note: saffron, leather, and praline are the most prominent for me.
At first, it may overwhelm you, but after a few minutes, it calms down and becomes a perfectly balanced strong yet very pleasant oriental fragrance that has only received positive feedback from me. Among other things, it has also been noted that the scent simply smells expensive.
The oud is very weak or, better said, mainstream as one is accustomed to from Atkinsons.
Clear purchase recommendation for anyone who enjoys oriental or leather fragrances with a touch of sweetness and spice.

P.S.: It is a very unique scent.

A Suit + This Fragrance = Lhomme Ideal
He enters the room with a self-assuredness that requires no arrogance, just pure class. His suit fits perfectly, his demeanor is marked by elegance. His presence is unmistakable, yet even before anyone sees him, an unmistakable hint of cherry announces him, embedded in a warm, masculine sweetness.

This fragrance leaves an impression, a perfume that feels luxurious without carrying the price tag of a luxury item (100ml for about €70). Cherries blend with a slight nutty aroma of almonds and the depth of sandalwood. A hint of tonka bean rounds it all off, giving it a gentle, sweet note that never feels too overpowering.

It is not a scent you will smell everywhere. It remains a fragrance that, in my opinion, fits perfectly with a suit or a shirt.

For me, this describes Lhomme Ideal best.

One of my favorites from the last few years
Not only one of the best Zara fragrances, but also one of my favorites from the last few years.

I haven't been in the perfume scene for very long like some others, but I can say with certainty that I have already tested a wide range of fragrances - from inexpensive €10 drugstore perfumes to luxurious niche fragrances costing €500 and more.
I am aware that many of these exclusive niche fragrances are not designed for the general public, but to be honest, only a few have truly excited me enough that I wanted to buy them.
Either I found them good but didn't know when I would ever wear them, or I simply didn't like them.
Then I stumbled upon an Instagram Reel. Zara sells a fragrance that has the DNA of Angels Share - a perfume that I personally really like. It became even more interesting when I found out that this fragrance was created by the same perfumer. I knew I had to test it, but not the regular one, rather the Intense version that takes the DNA and makes its own changes.

So I made my way to Zara. One single spray in the air was enough, and I knew immediately: I'm taking this one. The fragrance convinced me right away. It is warm, gourmand, and incredibly inviting, without the typical alcoholic note of the Angels Share DNA that bothered me about the DNA.
Instead, it takes the characteristic DNA and makes it more wearable and suitable for everyday use. For me, it's even a candidate for a signature scent for the cold months.

Anyone who likes the Angels Share DNA but hasn't been completely convinced by it so far should definitely give this fragrance a chance.

We don't even need to talk about the price - it's a Zara fragrance and therefore affordable. But what particularly surprised me was the exceptional longevity and sillage, which is rather atypical for Zara.
On me, it lasts easily eight hours, so I can still perceive it even after work. Other people have also noticed it on me hours after applying.

Is this the fragrance that everyone is raving about?
It was an ordinary visit to Douglas, one of many since I started delving deeper into the world of fragrances. After hours of research, I kept coming across recommendations for Prada Black, which apparently was highly regarded by many.
So I seized the opportunity and reached for the bottle at my trusted Douglas.

My first impression? Is this the fragrance that everyone is raving about?
To be honest, I was disappointed. The scent struck me as unremarkable, and I quickly turned to other fragrances. At that moment, Prada Black slipped my mind as I tested my way through the shelves.

But something changed on the way home. Again and again, a scent wafted towards me, capturing my attention, a warm and simultaneously fascinating smell that simply could not be ignored. I tried to place it, but after all the perfumes I had tested, it was impossible to pinpoint exactly which one it was.

Only at home, when I sat down at the PC and leaned on my left arm, did it suddenly become clear to me what it was. The scent that had captivated me all along was indeed Prada Black, which had developed into something wonderful on my skin.
It was warm, inviting, and had a coziness about it that I had never experienced with any other perfume before.
I couldn't stop smelling it and became more and more enthusiastic. At that moment, I understood, THIS is the fragrance that everyone is raving about!
It didn't take long before I ordered it, and since then it has become one of my absolute favorite scents.
Although I have tested many perfumes, none have convinced me so quickly that I wanted to buy them immediately.

The sillage of Prada Black is not overly strong, and it is not a scent that fills an entire room, but that does not make it any less impressive. On me, it lasts about eight hours, which is truly outstanding.

I can really recommend that everyone try it at least once - perhaps it will also evoke that special feeling in you.
