Just a bitter orange
I got this in a sample pack from nose perfumery, so it was recommended to me considering the perfumes that I liked before. I must say that I am deeply disappointed with this one.
I am always excited for a fig scent, but I cannot detect the fig in it. In fact I cannot detect anything, this to me is just a bitter orange. That's it. A bitter orange from a tree, put in a blender then voila. Unfortunately I don't like citrus perfumes enough to tolerate the lack of depth. I tried to layer it with the Ritual of Mehr Lotion since it's a more sweet, pleasant orange but it didn't work. I cannot see myself purchasing the full bottle.
Pistachio is not that prominent
This is a good scent. But despite the name and pistachio being present everywhere on the fragrance pyramid, it only lingers in the beginning.
Opens with a beautiful cardamom and pistachio. Very quickly it dries down into a warm, spicy vanilla amd stays there. Sometimes it gets a little play dough-y but I don't smell it everytime. I don't know if it's about my skin chemistry but it is so hard to find a good pistachio, and the same thing happened on paper too.
To me this a very cozy autumn fragrance. Pumpkin spice latte, gilmore girls, a small town that everybody's overly nice and we all know each other and go all out on festivities, all that jazz. I will use it whenever I feel like putting on a cute sweater and romanticize my life by journaling in a coffee shop. Sillage is good and it lasts for a long time. It lingers around for days on fabric.
I prefer this to body spray
This is the elevated version of the body spray for me! It's more balanced and they got rid of the artifical smell of the body spray. Not incredibly special but it is good. Kinda makes my mouth water. Beautiful, nutty caramel. I think what really sold me was the emphasis on pistachio in this version. Good sillage but longevity is very average.
I like it but I'm not impressed by it
This is a guilty pleasure for me. I don't like many of Sol de Janeiro scents, and I didn't quite understand what I like about this one but it is hard for me to go without it. Maybe it's because it is so hard ro find something with a prominent pistachio in it.
Smells like a bowl of candied nuts to me. Definitely caramel-y. My problem is there is something so artificial about it especially on skin, but still, I can't give it up. Don't blind buy.
The sillage and longevity are good considering it is a body spray. Don't believe people saying it outlasts perfumes or anything, not true. But it is a well performing body spray. I really like the perfume version.
Pink chiffon
I love the OG Delina, and Lust in Paradise is so similar it is impossible for me to talk about this one without mentioning it. Think Delina, but not as in-your-face, it lacks the tartness from rhubarb and the sillage is not as strong. Definitely a beautiful lychee-peony scent, does not change on me that much through the wear time to be honest.
I feel like many Delina exclusif/la rosée enjoyers are actually looking for Lust in Paradise. It feels like the fairy princess coquette fantasy everbody expects from Delina. To compare them, Delina is a thick satin fabric in Pink and Lust in Paradise is a chiffon in the same shade. Longevity and sillage are good.
