Addictive and nutty
Pistachio is a unique and very gorgeous fragrance. I had been expecting gelato but this is not milky at all. The opening is strong - green notes, nutty and woodsy. It is a rather unidimensional scent. This comes as no surprise as the top, middle and base notes are all pistachio x 3.

I’m especially impressed by the longevity. I liberally sprayed myself before bedtime and it is still going strong, albeit a skin scent, 12 hours later. The dry down is addictive. I couldn’t stop sniffing my arm throughout the evening. As the scent progresses, it mellows quite a bit. Hints of pistachio waft through the air. I even detect hints of coffee.

I think Pistachio would pair well with many other perfumes. For example, pistachio and chocolate , or with any boozy scent. I’m eager to layer with my Burning Barbershop or Handbook for the Recently Deceased to get smoky roasted nuts. I think Bowmakers would also provide a strong woody backbone. I am delighted to have a bottle. I think it would work best in the colder months. It is a fabulous gourmand.

A plush onesie full of soft pudding
Full transparency, I don’t know what a pistachio smells like-- my only experience with them is as savory salt-barnacle-crusted nibbles. This fragrance is not that. It’s soft, cardamom-blossomed, marzipan-petaled; a floral meringue, velvety heliotrope musk of a scent, sprinkled with a pinch of vanilla cake mix. Imagine all of that in a fluffy pudding. Now convert that pudding to a plush velour onesie. Ok yes, there it is. An adult onesie full of pudding. Subtly sweet, close to the skin, not really all that potent, and yet somehow...aggressively cozy?

Singular and engaging
Pistachio! A complex and layered nut given full attention to detail. It's a gourmand without being pastry sweet or drippy honey. Obviously nutty, and subtly green, dry without being powdery. This really is a fun exploration of something that's usually used for one note. Will probably be great for layering because this isn't overbearing in the slightest.

Waxy, salty, unsweetened pistachio
The pistachio fragrance trend might have been made for me. I love to sample different perfume houses takes on pistachio! This one by D.S. & Durga is among the most original pistachio fragrances, but far from my favorite.

It starts with a sweet, nutty, easily identifiable pistachio that immediately showcases a doughy, waxy texture. I can sense the warm spiciness of cardamom and some grainy, marzipan-like almond, but there is something more to it I can't quite put my finger on. Something slightly salty, opaque, even woodsy, but decidedly not gourmand.
I guess it makes sense that this contains patchouli - a very earthy type, neither the candied stuff that was so prevalent in designer fragrances of the 2010s, nor the musty old school hippie patch.
The vanilla cream note is absent to my nose. Maybe a vanilla bean blows by in the distance (like tumbleweed in a ghost town in an old western), but it's definitely not creamy.
The whole scent kind of reminds me of pistachio-infused play dough (not necessarily the brand name kind). It's very uncommon and not bad, but nothing I would want to smell like either.

If fragrances had a color, I would assign this a very muted, warm light green. Think of the sticker on the bottle, but a bit lighter and more yellow-brownish.

I can appreciate that this is a pistachio scent that is a) very easily unisex and b) wearable for people who aren't into delicious sweet gourmands. It has its place in the world of perfumery, even though it won't be my wardrobe.

Pistachiouli
As others have said, "Pistachiouli" would be a better name for this fragrance, which leans heavily on the perfumer's appreciation for the green, earthy note. David Seth Moltz has said he doesn't do gourmands, and I'm glad that's true, given the glut of achingly sweet dessert vanillas. Pistachio is not that, but it could be even nuttier and saltier. I don't get much of a true pistachio from it, but the almond note is mouthwateringly evocative of marzipan, which I prefer.

This fragrance is both a comfort scent and a dumb reach that I find equally fitting for bed time, morning or going out, and it layers well with a range of other gourmands, rose scents and other D.S. and Durga perfumes. It's very easy to wear — as long as you like patchouli. Longevity is short and the sillage is weak to my nose, but it's also the fragrance I've received the most compliments about while wearing.

Keep in mind if you're trying this, the spray perfume format is much more powdery than the rollerball oil format, which I prefer.

Pretty, light, creamy & nutty. A bit blurry & nondescript. Intimate & linear on me. Good for layering. Over-hyped & over-priced, IMO.

Smells like the dry down of Angel minus the sickly sweet honey. It's woody patchouli, its not a dessert pistachio per se. Unisex.

Smells like someone crushed up pistachios into a ball of old play doh. Not for me.

Tried a bunch of pistachio perfumes, found them very green and unappetizing. This one is a yummy dry nutty nut. Sweet with hints of almond and spice

For me, this is a scent without pistachio. I feel a bit of a nutty note, but it is mostly powdery, earthy, sweet and honey.

Smells like bathroom air freshener at first. Later becomes creamy, nutty, more pleasant, but still kind of meh.

Spicy, old play-doh. Also try Une Pistache - Sweet, old play-doh.

A striking fresh spiciness that mellows out into a warm, creamy pistachio. Not quite gourmand and it has that luxurious soapy vibe to it.
