This is a bright citrus that has some earthy funk as a result of the hemp note. I felt like I had smelled that somewhere, and I realized it was quite similar to the cannabis and hemp note that is in Oro Verde by House of Bō.

I actually think this is quite nice but also hard to pin down because it makes you think of white citrus and tea but it’s not quite that. It makes you think of funky musk yet it’s also not quite that. I want to call it refreshing but it’s not really that either.

Overall, I think it’s a fun perfume to test if anyone feels that they enjoy any of the notes listed, but want to expand and try something new because it is a bit of an expensive take on a clean fresh citrus scent.

This is strongly reminiscent of Mason Margiela’s By The Fireplace with the key differences being that Vanilla Black Pepper, of course, leans much more vanilla. It’s a warmer fragrance that feels gourmand and only carries the suggestion of smoke.

Here the essence of fire is replaced with spice, but the two fragrances do have a very similar effect.

I almost feel like this is also what Glossier You might smell like to some people, if it weren’t a whisper. I think I’ve smelled this warmth on certain people who wear Glossier’s You and if it was amplified sweetened and spiced up, it would be an inspired version of this fragrance.

This is delicious. So spectacular. I just…I wasn’t sure I’d like this but I was so intrigued I think partly because of the reviews and in part because of the combination of notes.

This reminds me so of Mystic Bliss. Different, but the same effect. Where Mystic Bliss is a soothing natural spa, Midnight Omen is sexy. It’s the calm that occurs after dusk.

I am almost getting a saffron note but I reckon it’s lily of the valley and the metallic element. Not the most wearable for me, but not headache inducing

It’s a gentle sort of scent. Doesn’t smack you in the face with dirty notes, even though they’re there. They exist as a softer caress.
