The first fragrance that made me realize patchouli can be many different things
As the title of the review may suggest, I’m not the biggest patchouli person. I try not to brush it off, but it’s a really difficult note for me to digest: not here. Definitely not in their perfume. A take on musk that elegant, sultry, rich and velvety. A stunning fragrance that I finished in less than a year. I’m holding onto the last drops on the bottle and I think that at some point I will repurchase this. Stunning.

The first perfume that held me by hand and showed me the world of niche perfumes
Before writing anything else, the title of my review is very important: there’s emotional connection with the first perfume that led you into niche perfumes. Rose always has been one of my favorite notes, it’s timeless, it’s classy, it can be so many things.
In this perfume it’s a flirty, elegant, sweet but exactly the right amount, feminine, sparkly, bright rose that mixes with pear and dances around you leaving behind the most pretty, perfumy sillage, I will forever love this.

Pretty, pretty, pretty
I guess when it comes to Gourmand perfumes, I’m slightly weird to describe. I don’t like to smell like food, I like to smell like perfume that reminds you of something sweet. This perfume which I’ve heard being described as ultra gourmand, for me falls into this category: it reminds me of something sweet but it’s perfume!
It’s one of the prettiest ones with this DNA, I often use it to go to sleep and I absolutely love to fall asleep and wake up into a fluffy cloud of gentle citrusy vanilla. It makes me feel like a fairy covered in goodness when I think to what this evokes. Ultra niche italian brand Private Mood, that really makes the prettiest perfumes. It’s not a beast mode perfume by all means, and it’s something that to me adds to the fragrance. Beautiful.

If pretty had a name, it would be Mughetto
Lily of the Valley is a flower dear to my heart, it was the favorite of an aunt that isn’t no longer with us, and forever will remind me of her. She had gifted me a plant of Lily of the Valley; and I was sniffing them when they bloom, their scent is so pretty and iconic, I knew I had to search for a Lily of the Valley scent and my choice was this from Santa Maria Novella. This brand makes fragrance so beautiful it’s hard to keep up. Mughetto is exactly like a Lily of the Valley scent, but it’s also pretty and dainty with a touch of powder somewhere. This is something I could imagine a Jane Austen character wearing (well, like several perfumes from the brand). Absolutely adore this!

I fell for the hype
Sometimes it happens to the best of us (and I’m not one of them for sure): but I fell for the hype and blind bought this fragrance. As many described it as a vanilla pod pure scent, I thought I couldn’t be wrong. And I wasn’t. It’s not a vanilla pod kind of vanilla (it lacks that funky animalic thick aspect), it’s a vanilla essence kind of vanilla, gentle enough not to be overpowering or sickening sweet, but also so gentle and intimate where I had hoped for this to have that little vanilla umph I was waiting for, but that’s on me for blind buying it. While I’m never searching for beast mode fragrances, I like my perfumes to last on my bubble, and unfortunately it’s not the case for this perfume for me. While I don’t doubt the raw materials are of excellent quality, I hardly doubt I will repurchase once finished, al least I know I will finish it fast enough since you have to overspray in order to being able to feel it.
