I usually layer sweet / gourmand fragrances with 
Baccarat Rouge 540 Eau de Parfum and rarely wear the latter on its own. Layring with BR540 seems to increase the longevity of some weak performing fragrances in my experience, (a.k.a most Van Cleef fragrances 😒).
