...Hello, this is a very interesting topic.One thing you have to consider always when talking about a pharmacogical treatment and its potential deleterious effects is the time of use.While it is true that topical nasal corticosteroids can improve loss of smell associated with various diseases such as allergic rhinitis, the effects of longterm use are not so clear.Our olfactory epithelium contains olfactory neurons, These are a very curious neuronal population in that, compared to most other neurons in our nervous system, we still have the capacity of neurogenesis in the olfactory epithelium. This means the olfactory neurons that die due to cellular aging can be replaced. Usually there is a homeostasis, a balance, between neuronal death and neuronal regeneration. Among other things, disease can disturbe this balance.For instance, recently there have been reports that long term intranasal administration of corticosteroids could negatively influence olfaction. For example, chronic nasal steroids can reduce neuronal turnover in animals, so more olfactory neurons die than new neurons being formed. Due to ethical regulations, the human research on this topic is not yet so clear.Regardless, I too use a nasal spray probably about 8 months of the year, whether this negatively impacts on my olfaction? I don't know. I still smell, but maybe I would smell better without the spray? But then I would have allergic rhinitis ...Just my two cents on this topic.Best wishes,Kristof

It is my favourite on my wife.Erba Pura Frangipani Flower Frangipani Eau de Parfum something more fresh: Lime Basil & Mandarin Cologne and Virgin Island Water It is dificult to find what are considered tropical scents with little florals or vanilla :)

...which one of these notes comes through the strongest? Which ones do you get in the opening or the base?Once you know this you could look in Parfumo using the actual notes.Another way that might work is to check other perfumes the Perfumer has made, maybe one of them is similar?

I get that it's quite easily accessible, but do everyone want to smell like one another? My beliefs are based on the fact that everyone should represent something different with their own personal smell, and I'm sticking to it till the very end. The better alternative here could be Writer by Cyrus. While I agree with your general feelings with regards to Dior Sauvage, the reason why I don't like it is based on it's smell and not on it's popularity.As whether the forum is the right place to share your opinion with the community...with the way you came across, I think this would be more suited for the actual page of the perfume.Though, turning this into a discussion on what could be an alternative could be more productive.So, what would I recommend instead of Dior Sauvage? Anything is better....but seriously, if you are looking for something that makes itself known, but at the same time is unique I would recommend you to try "Ganymede | Marc-Antoine Barrois" . No, it is nothing like Dior Sauvage, but since I don't want a clone of that scent, this it is what comes to mind at the moment.

...Lol, I very rarely go less than 5 sprays and will often use 7 to 8 sprays.If I go less than 5, that's because the scents are extremely loud and longlasting. Oud for glory would be an exemple of this...3 to 4 spays and 10 hours later I still fill up a room.

BTW, do you know that you can use the hashtag for mentioning a perfume present in the database? Just write the # followed by the name of the perfume, and you will get a list of matching fragrances. The overall scent in unisex, maybe slightly feminine for some.Fruit de la Créativité - Les Signes de Grès Les Signes de Grès - Fruit de la Créativité : the rose is not so pronounced, comes through in the mid and feels more powderyÉtat de Grâce - Les Signes de Grès Les Signes de Grès - État de Grâce : This is just a beautiful, beautiful intoxicating scent where the rose definitely is more hidden, but I think it gives the scent more "body". RecommendedAaron Terence Hugh - Raw Cherry Raw Cherry : Not very rosy, but for sure worth a try. The faint dusty rose in the base together with the cherry that can be felt throughout its lifespan is completely different to what I am personally used to and it is very special.Oud Touch and Oud Vanille from Franck Olivier oudTouch oudVanille : more classic use of rose

...That is really difficult to answer...you really need to test them. Don't think these are blind buy fragrances due to the price. Getting some samples in would help you out.Personally, I would chose Journey or Epic for my wife ;)
