A better cherry fragrance?
So this is my first ever bottle of a cherry fragrance. I had tried the Tom Ford line of cherry formulations (Lost Cherry, Cherry Smoke, etc) and I was never really a fan of them. Mostly because the cherry note was simply gone after 2 hours of wearing. Generally speaking, they're always in a bad spot of them being too weak and not bold enough to be date fragrances and yet not subtle enough to be an everyday wear. It's just something you might throw on on an evening at best.

However, Aaron's interpretation completely changed my view on cherry focused formulations. First off, the cherry note lasts from the first moment of spraying to its far dry down. The opening is a little harsh but after a few minutes when it settles down it's extremely nice. The scent profile of this scent is very dark and spicy, probably because of the Thai Oud on the base of the formulation, along with the almonds and dark chocolate which are extremely apparent in this formulation. If you like cherry fragrances as a scent profile and you always wanted them being "darker" and stronger and more bold, this is definitely for you. However do keep in mind this does have Oud in its formulation so it may be challenging for some people. However this is a very beginner oud formulation and from my experience most people seem to like the way it smells.

Now for performance, as usual with Aaron's work, it's extremely long lasting and extremely projecting. I had a spray on my arm yesterday at around the afternoon part of the day, and the thing is still on my arm and its not even a skin scent yet. In terms of projection, it's very airy and there's a wall of fragrance around you. I wouldn't say its absolutely room filling but 6ft projection is good enough for most people. Especially with the type of scent this is.

Overall, if you like the scent profile and Oud/Spice type scents this is definitely for you.

A Cherry out of the Urban Wilderness
Right off the bat, if you’re looking for a ‘lost cousin’ of this cherry fragrance, you’re sniffing up the wrong tree, This beast has never been anywhere near a tree.
I surprised myself with how much I love this stuff. It’s POWERFUL. Oudy, a Thai Oud, slightly raunchy, thrusty, woody. The Cherry is the LOUD post-agricultural variety that is more of a reflection or an industrialized idea of a cherry than the real thing. A cherry bounced back through the isles of consumer products like haribo-sweets, gummy bears, lip-balm, one that is more at home in a night-club or in a city park-lavatory. The cherry lingers with those woodsy notes all the way through. You can apply this conservatively in the evening before you hit the pub, fresh slightly citrusy… And at 5am when you stagger out of the clubs, this cherry will still be there at your side to carry you, warm, comforting, rich, maybe a bit of rose, vanilla, nutmeg and cocktail-boozy. Alternatively, if you live in the country, you will catch whiffs of this around you for ages, and in your clothes for a few days. This was not how I expected it. For me, it was like finding a real fun and personable playmate from well outside of my ‘normal’ social group. I’m sooo glad I got this! imao Aaron Terence Hughes is a fantastic perfumer, hedonistic, clubby, one to take with you into the madness that we live in.

Definitely Cherry
My first ATH fragrance and my first impression. RC opens with blast of cough drop/ car frag cherry and wood. A bit overkill in my opinion. Cherry goes into boozy syrup as oud/ vanilla becomes more prominent. Dry down is much more enjoyable with the base and cherry taking more of a backseat (still very much there throughout life of frag). Although it takes on a more cherry jam-like spread as the boozy starts to mellow out. There is a slight dusty quality I believe due to the rose. The fragrance became a well blended pleasant skin scent after 5.5 hours of projecting every time I moved my arm. I do not see this one in my top list of frags but it is quite different for me. It just my personal taste this could be too much cherry (I know I know it’s called raw cherry, what does one expect). I will have to wear it more to reach final conclusion. However beware this one a little goes a long way and one could choke some folks out. A+++ to Maxaroma for quick ship.

Finally a cherry fragrance that lasts
This is very powerful indeed. Compared to the famous TF Lost Cherry or Dua Popped Cherry this is dynamite. The price for the quality is good too. At first spray it does smell a bit like a cough sweet but once it settles it's very pleasant. Totally unisex leaning more feminine. I'm not joking it was on my skin for 24 hours and that's after a shower. The Cherry lasts too which is quite a surprise for a Cherry fragrance. Boozy slightly medicinal Cherry fragrance.
