...Ah yes! The busy, artsy camera work, which is at it's best when accompanied by a constant soundtrack so not only can you not see anything, you can't hear the dialogue either. Off topic, I watched "Ladyhawk" on the telly last night. What a stupid film! Medieval fantasy, costumes from 60's Star Trek and the musical score from Baywatch. Jarring all round!

...I once saw Honor Blackman at Dulwich Gallery and she is still as beautiful and glamourous as when she was young.I have made a sandwich for Adam Faith.Whilst shopping in my local Waitrose, Ronnie Corbett was also getting in the groceries. I was rather impressed by the fact he goes shopping sans wife! There may be others but my memory for names and faces is appalling, no matter how famous they are!

...Another South London gem, The Faraday Memorial, on a roundabout at Elephant & Castle. This is a sculpture by brutalist architect Rodney Gorden representing a Faraday cage and houses the electric substation for the underground. The council has never, to my knowledge, made this fact known to anyone. Nobody in the area has a clue what it is or what it's for, or what it represents. It's just called that box!

...Off topic, but going back to men not reading intructions. I once took a reading lamp back to Homebase because it was broken, only to find out it was a touch activated one and I had spent ages looking for a switch, yet still managed to avoid brushing my fingers over the bit that turned it on!

...Hubby wanted something just right, but couldn't settle on anything he really liked for me. We stumbled on a perfumery in La Place Des Vosges, Creation Parfums et Senteurs Du Pays Basques. The service was wonderful and my husband chose Un Jour a Biarritz for me and Grenouille for himself. I am now wafting around smelling of my time in Paris, lovely!

...Well I have just got back from a three day trip to Paris, plenty of rain, but still had a wonderful time. We took one of our oldest employees (70) for her birthday and walked her legs off! She hadn't even been on a train for nearly 20 years so the Metro was a bit of an experience too. Great fun!
