For some perfumes that I love/hate, one sampling is enough. How many hours? I don't check the time, but I think after 3 hours minimum. This would be for scents that fade away after an hour or two. If for no other reason, I wait for at least half a day so that I can fairly rate their longevity and sillage. For some, I test them a few times because I'm not really sure how I feel about them after a single wear.

...I don't keep them in the original packaging unless I plan to swap/sell them soon and I don't use them.If I use them, it's a waste of time putting the fragrance in and out all the time, plus the box gets damaged... I don't care much about boxes in general, but some are too precious, such as Light Blue pour Homme Summer Vibes.I don't have a place or a shelf where they are visible, I keep almost all of them in a closet, so they are already in a dark and cold place.

...By accident, I just tested it for the first time 2 hours ago :)It's an official tester from the store, bought perhaps several months ago.It was horrible at the beginning, I felt nauseous. Funnily, I checked the reviews here, and the one just below yours describes well how I and that person feel about it. He also used the word "inharmonious", just like you did now. An hour and something later, it became much more tolerable. But while he finds it appealing, I find it dull. Yes, it's slightly different than tons of other contemporary sweet fragrances, but I just am already tired of them at this point. I don't think I helped you, though. Perhaps you tested it in different conditions (season? indoor/outdoors) the last time? Sometimes we react differently to the same smell, but it looks like the change is quite radical in your case. I think you should search for an older batch for comparison. It's a popular fragrance, I am sure you won't struggle much to find it. A little update: It's been 3 hours or so now, and it's almost a skin scent already. I tested Invictus Platinum simultaneously on the other hand. At first, Elixir expectedly obliterated it in terms of sillage, but Invictus has weakened just a bit since the opening, and now they are about the same.

...There are tons of fake perfumes on Ebay. I recently asked a seller if he can take a photo of the batch code, and he flat out told me his perfumes are not genuine. But ebay still allows such sellers to continue... They have tons of positive reviews as well, maybe 2 or 3 that say the perfumes are fake. Those few negative reviews always say more than hundreds of good ones haha.Back to the topic, I found Fahrenheit 32 Eau de Toilette on a local second-hand accesories site. It was a blind buy, but I had a good feeling about it. I found it unique smelling and heavenly. I randomly bumped into it again just a few days later for a crazy price in a FB group. I find one positive thing about the sold items being still there, although I imagine it's certainly not why the sellers keep them: some leave the price after selling the item, and this helps other sellers and buyers seeking that perfume to see what the "market" price is.Generally, the souk is great because it offers the chance to chase a particular perfume, which is something not available on other sites. However, we can't see the picture before clicking, so if I want a whole bottle, I don't want to click on those ads selling leftovers.

Westerners in Anglophone countries (and those under the significant influence of Anglosphere) are offended on their behalf. Personally, I don't care either way. It's fair that you ask in an open discussion, but as we have seen with such cases across any sphere of society, if you bend your knee now, it will inevitably create more problems for you in the future. If people agree there is a more precise/less confusing word to replace the term oriental, then change it, ofc.
