An interesting discovery
I received a sample in a 1.5ml vial at DRUNI and yesterday I decided to try it.
Ambassador is a perfume with a slightly fresh and sweet amber touch at the same time. Totally and resoundingly fruity from start to finish, predominating over all those spicy notes it has. Normally I'm not a big fan of perfumes with cardamom but this cardamom here is just enough to spice up a bit all the sweetness that the fruits (the mango above all and the mandarin in the opening) give.
I put 2 sprays on my hand at 3:15 pm yesterday, before going to work, its opening is very nice, you can notice that smell of mango mixed in the opening but in a constant fight with the mandarin and apple, it is much milder.
After an hour and a half at most all that projection it has already drastically decreased but still made itself noticeable. All those fresh top notes of apple and mandarin were gone and a juicy mango was coming out along with some vanilla tones and that cardamom that spices it up. The pepper, well, appears there to give a fresh touch but it is not noticeable, it is there because it should be there. In addition, some notes that I did not expect at all begin to stand out and they are the floral notes of lavender and violet.
And it is curious, because at the end of the life of this fragrance, let's say about 10 hours, the mango is there, but to give the sweetness, the vanilla is there, to give depth to that sweetness and only that spicy note remains, which as I said, I do not dislike at all being cardamom and something floral like lavender. Very interesting evolution, really.
Recommended for use ONLY with medium to low temperatures, nothing of 27 degrees or more, it can become suffocating and cloying due to the sweetness it has throughout the life of this perfume. Clearly, cool spring nights, autumn and winter, especially at night, are when I see it best suited. For work, yes, you can wear it, but don't overdo it. 3 or 4 sprays at most.
A semi-formal perfume for adults, this doesn't fit on a T-shirt, much less on a 17-year-old boy.
In short: An interesting discovery that I wouldn't mind having for specific occasions.
