First of all: How incredibly rare and great is this REAL deer musk? That you can still experience something like this in Germany in 2025 ... thank you Frederic! :-)
But also about the other ingredients: In addition to the dominant musk, the
Kenshitora also impresses with a complex, changing bouquet of green, fresh natural 'naturals'. Up to hour 3/4, there are really many things to discover in the drydown and the top note is an alternating bath of citrusy-green, earthy-animalic feelings.
Once again, I have tried to give you the scent progression as best I can (and according to my feelings):
- Spray on (8:23 am):
Intense, animal musk is paired with sweeter, green-spicy notes, almost slightly herbaceous. The opening is powerful, space-consuming and edgy. You have to like this musky fist. You can already tell that this fragrance is not for beginners.
- Just 2 minutes later:
The strong animalic musk disappears, recedes and becomes more pleasant. It is joined by a strong, sweet-fresh citrus. It also has something dark and spicy about it.
- After half an hour:
... the intense citrus performance is (almost) over again. I didn't look at the fragrance pyramid for the testing, just skimmed it before testing and would have said that a sweetened bergamot can now be smelled - alongside the striking, earthy-spicy musk.
- After 1 hour:
The citrus degrades considerably, the Kenshitora now moves in the direction of "sweet wood with musk and dark but warming spice".
- After 2 hours:
The citrus is gone and the musk is no longer THE star of the stage. It also allows an ambery, sweet-resinous woody note to take center stage. The spiciness has developed into a lighter note. The drydown goes into a sweet, balsamic wood with musk and light green notes.
- After 3 hours:
The sweet/resinous wood with a slightly ethereal touch and musk crystallizes as "the drydown". I can already guess that this will be the DD DNA (spoiler: it [almost] is).
The sillage is at its peak, but it will last a long time - that's already clear :D
- After 4 hours:
The musk only plays second fiddle and leaves the stage.
The drydown will not change much from now on. There is a striking mix of vetiver + cedarwood, which remains sweet and warm with something resinous or balsamic.
- After 6 hours:
The musk is gone. As is the sillage. Until the supposed end, now after 13.5 hours, it has not changed any further - what remains is a sweet-spicy, distinctive woody note.
Funny: Now, after 13.5 hours, my skin smells slightly "pissy" - underlining once again that the fragrance is not for beginners *haha*

Conclusion:
Another Nebiru that literally screams "NISH". Offensive, polarizing, beginner-friendly. Showed the fragrance to 3 colleagues at work - very quickly waved it off with thanks x)
For me, it's clearly a masculine fragrance that's not very suitable for daily wear, but is rather sprayed on after work. Not suitable for going out and disturbing.
In terms of seasons, I see it in the cooler spring or fall.
Unfortunately no longer available (May 2025) - I would probably have liked to wear it just because of the real musk! :-(
But: unreserved recommendation to all those who are looking for a new fragrance experience and want to broaden their horizons :-))
