The only leather/vanilla I've liked

I think I saved the best for last with La Manufacture.

BôHaras opens with an Ombré Leather (2018) Eau de Parfum type of leather, leading many reviewers, especially on Fragrantica, to dismiss it as a near-clone. But the drydown could not be any more different. After the pungent leather opening, BôHaras turns soft, warm, and sweet. I would call the sweet note in here straight up vanilla rather than amber. The combination of the sweet vanilla and spicy cardamom make the drydown almost feel like a Middle-Eastern dessert, while still the leather provides a dry-ness and subtle animalic-ness to the composition.

This is the only leather-vanilla I have tried that I can stand, with fragrances like "Le Vestiaire - Babycat | Yves Saint Laurent" and Eau d'Ombré Leather giving me burnt rubber/vanilla cake on a charcoal grill vibes. So if you're like me and think vanilla-leather sounds like a good combination in your head, but you haven't tried a good one, BôHaras might be the fragrance for you.

Warm, soft, and long-lasting round

Whenever I enter a store that sells (also) fragrances, I check out the offers almost every time. And so, I stumbled upon two fragrances from La Manufacture at a very good price. I had already heard/seen something about BôHaras. It was described as quite simple and uncomplicated, thus being a niche entry-level fragrance.

In my experience, houses that exclusively produce fragrances - and niche doesn’t mean anything else - are usually neither better nor more special, but they are mostly (significantly) more expensive (though not always). In fact, nowadays, increasingly significant impulses are coming from niche houses, which used to be the domain of designer houses - mostly fashion. Of course, you can also find fragrances in the drugstore ... oh, I'm digressing ... sorry!

Only three notes are listed - hard to believe, but one should pay attention to a fragrance pyramid or fragrance notes rather than believe in them ;-).
Leather is clearly in the foreground, which makes this fragrance primarily masculine.
Cardamom brings a light aromatic spiciness that increasingly holds back in the background.
And amber fixes it all and makes BôHaras quickly warm, soft, and long-lasting round.
After 12 hours, I could still clearly perceive it on me - albeit very close to the skin.
One can be very sure that one smells pleasant for a long time.
Women too.

Strong Start and Calmer Finish

It is an oriental-spicy fragrance with cardamom in the top note, which comes strongly to the forefront for me. In the heart note, a gentle leather follows, before amber appears in the base note.
After the initial strong start, the fragrance gradually becomes milder.
It is marketed as a unisex fragrance, although I would categorize it more as a masculine scent.
I would wear this fragrance more in the evenings, and it would also be suitable for summer. Actually, in the evenings all year round.
The longevity is medium.
Overall, a beautiful and interesting fragrance, but it probably won't make it to my favorites list.
However, often you have to smell a fragrance multiple times before you realize that it indeed has that certain something for someone.
