Lush store
It smells like an updated 29 High Street. Like, they made 29HS intending for it to smell like a Lush store, and it does. But back then Lush sold a larger variety of scents, whereas now they really went in on sweet and gourmand scents. So The Old Songs Are Waking smells like a Lush store, but a modern one.

The smell of LUSH
Smells similar to 29 High Street, which is meant to smell like the scent of a LUSH shop all mixed together. I prefer this to 29 High Street, which I found to be too strongly citrus. Old Songs is a more balanced mix and I agree with the other review that it gives an overall impression of all the different smells that are wafting around a LUSH shop.

Lush Store in a Bottle
The first spray immediately makes me feel like I'm entering a Lush store and smelling an explosion of scents from all the products. Somehow the scent also makes me think of sweet and sour sweets - is that perhaps because of the bergamot?
After a while, this loud and colorful first impression fades and The Old Songs Are Waking takes a somewhat calmer and more grown-up turn. Thanks to vanilla, tonka and very tame incense, the fragrance becomes warmer.
What remains is the comforting feeling of finally being home again, while the full bag from the Lush shopping trip stands far away in the corner, gently spraying its scent.
