Good at first

This was a pretty slightly spicy woody vanilla. Strong but not crazy. I could see myself wearing this a lot in the colder months, was loving the scent. It did have a slight “cola” scent to it too. It wasnt anything unique but i enjoyed it.
But then it started to turn super super smoky and incense like. That spicy vanilla was nowhere to be found, i was just left with a smoky incense scent. It got a lot stronger too. A little bit later i started to get a powdery floral note from it too.
Disappointed with this, it started out so good but ended tragically.

Milky vanilla and tonka with a familiar DNA

This is Lush's take on the Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille genre, and one of the few scents from this family that I would consider wearing. The original is good, but I like it better on a man than on myself, and some of the so-called dupes (especially Velvet Teddy) smell like awful candles to me. This is balanced and a little more feminine-leaning.

Turmeric Latte has the same waxy vanilla and tonka as TV, but without any herbal or tobacco notes. It's creamier, milkier, very warm and comforting. Perfect for autumn and winter. The turmeric is quite subtle, if it wasn't for the name I would likely not have noticed it.
In the opening this is a little hay-like and almost animalic like a horse stable, which is the only reason why I'm not completely in love. I don't find the opening smoky like some others mentioned. At this stage the scent reminds me a lot of the Lush Power conditioner (very good for dry hair!). But later, as it turns sweeter, milkier and more vanillic, all the resemblances vanish. Turmeric Latte becomes more and more of its own fragrance in the drydown.

I haven't tried any other products from the Turmeric Latte range, so I don't know if they're similar, and I have only sampled the 2022 version of the perfume.

Lush’s perfume game is absolutely nuts compared to other bath and body companies like B&BW and their synthetic ass mists that last microseconds. Lush is genuine quality and they.. actually.. PERFORM!!

Turmeric Latte on the opening is smooth, velvety chai spices that quickly envelop into a milky & spicy chai latte that you’d have in a café on a cold winter morning. Amazing!!

Spiced vanilla latte

I love the massage bar with this scent, so I had to test this out. The perfume is a very intense version of the massage bar fragrance, with an added smoke/spice in the opening. Once it mellows out it is identical to the massage bar, which is a delicious gourmand spicy vanilla (think chai latte with extra vanilla). This is one of the stronger Lush perfumes I have tried and just one spray lingers for hours on me.

A warm, spicy vanilla

This is a gorgeous scent with a warm and spicy, vanilla dry down. It creates a beautiful, warm and comforting scent bubble around you that lasts all day! I’m not keen on the opening, which I find quite harsh and punchy, but this does settle quite quickly. The dry down is everything! Perfect for a cold autumn or winters day.

This actually reminds me of BDK Rouge Smoking. It’s also relatively cheap and currently limited edition. If you like chai latte fragrances, this is an excellent buy! Get it while you can. I hope they bring it back in 2025!
