Supercharged Super Milk
My bottle of Chelsea Morning came in and I couldn’t be more excited to smell it. I discovered Super Milk when it first came out years ago and immediately fell in love with the scent of it. When the perfume came out for the community drop last year, I was ecstatic to get it but my luck ran out as my bottle broke during shipment. So when Lush said they were dropping this one, I was beyond hyped.

Chelsea Morning is about 90% similar to Super Milk (the OG hair primer/conditioner I mean!). The Major difference is that CM is MUCH sweeter, more syrupy, and more gourmet, and the lemon/citrus accompanying all the sugar is also amplified. The lemon + Myrtle + fenugreek gives the fragrance a very *sharp*, almost cleaning fluid like opening, that is quickly humbled by the butterscotch/toffee and vanilla. It’s more gourmand that I expected it to be but how could it not be with that note breakdown lol. So far, the sillage seems to be great but I can’t speak for the longevity (will come back to update).

I think I can confidently say that citrus gourmand are my favorite type of gourmand scents as someone who doesn’t like wearing them often. CM is a great addition to my overall collection and to my growing gourmet selection. Just YUM!!!

My caramel coffee love.
I went into Lush looking for Tumeric Latte, and was disappointed when I didn't find it. However, I'm actually grateful that they didn't now, because on a whim I tried Chelsea Morning instead.

The opening is heavy on the lemon myrtle and on my first try this kind of confused me. Through the day the scent evolved into a beautiful caramel, coffee and biscuit smell that felt like a warm hug. It's syrupy sweet, as others have noted. For me, the lemon myrtle disappears after an hour or two, just leaving the lovely cozy sweetness.

I bought the full size after that first day of testing and now I really look forward to the lemony, herbal opening. It's refreshing and wakes me up in the mornings, before fading and leaving me a comfy gourmand scent for six or so hours.

This perfume is so well blended, I would never have imagined the lemon myrtle being a good addition to the other notes here, but it is divine. This will be my go to winter home scent.

Lemon Pound Cake on Steriods
If you want to smell this, it smells identical to their seasonal body soap that's out during the winter, Baked Alaska. So that's a more affordable way to test this, or if you love it, you must buy that soap!!

It is a punchy citrus, sweet, and slightly synthetic. I do get the toffee/butterscotch, but it's pretty blended with the citrus. Reminds me a bit of the popular citrusy, lemon pound cake scents launching - like Xerjoff's Lira or Akro Bake. I think the price range is much better for a citrus perfume than those listed, and think the citrus lingers longer on this one!

Super milk hair primer with butterscotch
The lemon in this perfume smells identical to the creamy, sweet, spiced lemon in the hair primer. What's different within this perfume is the light butterscotch you'll smell in the background of this scent. If you've been wanting a perfume that smells like the hair primer than this is the best that I've smelled thus far. It lasts for about 4-5 hours on the skin. The only thing I don't like about this is the top on the 30 ml bottle. It's very thin and easily malleable as it's made out of thin plastic.

Also, this does not smell like the Super Milk EDP, as I found that one to not be as creamy as the hair primer.

Too ordinary for LUSH
I knew right away from reading the note that this would be popular and a best-selling item. I was sure I would like this product, but in the end, I didn't.
It's too smooth, dewy, and syrupy, and doesn't have the "characteristics" I'm looking for. Yes, I can't like it unless it has some kind of "twist" like vetiver or patchouli. This is just my nose's preference, and I tend not to be attracted to gourmand scents that are too mild. This smells like maple syrup, and it smells better on the skin than on paper. I don't have days when I want to be surrounded by the smell of maple syrup, so I didn't end up buying it. The clerk said it smelled like caramel popcorn, but I always smelled syrup.
It's a very uncharacteristic scent that is not typical of LUSH (although the maple syrup scent is unique!), so it was too simple for me.

Sweet and caramelly, definitely gourmand. This is like a lighter version of Sticky Dates, which I personally find too intense.

Nasty. Smells like a really low-quality, desert-scented candle. Very synthetic and overpowering. Seems like it would be a good performer.

On the one hand I don't want to smell of food; on the other hand this smells so amazingly realistically delicious...

identical to Super Milk but it smells RANCID if it gets on my hair which i guess is Lush's way to get me to buy both & not use it as a replacement??

very caramelly. Deeply sweet and dark, but pastry/cafe like not overwhelming like some. Would layer well with some vanilla lotion or something
