Underrated lush gem!
This fragrance is criminally underrated, overshadowed by Lush’s other lovely, but albeit a bit sickly (I’m looking at you sticky dates) fragrances. It is oily, green, sharp, floral. The rosemary adds a lovely herbal quality that isn’t too sharp, or camphorous like some fragrances, and reminds me of Mediterranean summers without just leaning into the too easy and a bit lazy citrus aquatic overload. One of my go to Spring/ summer fragrances.

Feel-Good Fragrance
When I first sprayed Pansy, I thought "oh very pleasant, a bit herbal, I like it." Then I walked out of the store and 10 minutes later I smelled my arm again. And I couldn't stop smelling it. It became warm, it became slightly sweet, it got more and more beautiful. I had to have it. Every time I want to relax or unwind from a stressful day, I wear it. It gives me a warm feeling and I feel comfortable right away. I also often wear it to sleep. Just a beautiful slightly green, slightly sweet fragrance that offers a sense of security.

After I thoroughly and quite positively tested the "Big Boys" and cult hits from Lush what feels like an eternity ago, I hardly paid any attention to the brand. A mistake on my part, as over the years some very interesting newcomers have indeed emerged. "Pansy" is one of them and a very elegant, fresh, and buttery soft orange blossom dream.

At the perfume meeting in Düsseldorf last month, it was brought by a nice perfumer and somehow stuck in my mind, which is quite the compliment for a scent after such an overload day. Now I could buy it and test it more extensively - and it stands up to this "love at first sniff." It's not a game changer, but a winner in terms of price-performance ratio. And, of course, a damn nice fragrance on top of that. Sunny, patch-without-patch feeling, Palermo meets Paris. Fruity notes make it seem even juicier and tastier. Perhaps slightly more feminine. Woody, grassy, clean. But not pure, not entirely sin-free. Lush fits well here. Big bonus points for the brand's stance on animal testing. Slightly powdery, definitely chic, also floral without even a hint of being overly cutesy or old-fashioned. Barbershop for nature Barbies. Reminds me of Harry Lehmann's "Boston" paired with creamy greatness. Modern hippies. A fashion show that is completely casual and unpretentious.

Bottle: Niche minimalism at half the designer price
Sillage: pleasantly mild
Longevity: solid 5-7 hours

Conclusion: Exit Through The Gift Shop - a creamy green gem between understatement, art, and a knockout. Pleasant in perfume union.

Another Victim of Reformulation...
I remember "Pansy" from way back when, when Lush was hardly Lush and from a forum special a few years later.

The scent is really very close to the "The Olive Branch" shower gel, which I absolutely love. Citrusy, orangey, olive-oily, powdery, floral, and fresh. Mmmh. Perfect against winter blues!

Yes, I still love the perfume, the scent itself. But:

The version that is currently available lacks the punch, the sillage, and the longevity.

Such a shame. I would give a lot to be able to buy the scent in its old quality fresh.

Orange blossom, subtle galbanum and lots of fruit juice. Surprisingly accurate reproduction of the scent of a Lush store, but not unpleasant

Fresh, green floral. Slightly sweet from the orange blossoms, but not overly feminine. Would be an ideal spring/summer scent.

Aggressively unblended essential oily floral scent. Very realistic florals. Fresh yet sweet. It is not a bad scent, but not for me.

Floral that is a little green, earthy, with some sweetness from a very slight spiced berry note. A little different from the lotion.

Very sharp green scent, too strong for me.

Slightly floral, slightly fruity, slightly green, slightly powdery. Smells like a milder version of the inside of a Lush store.

Not bad! Relatively safe, natural smelling floral with some brightness in the base. Probably the best of the entire Lush lineup.

With Pansy, there's a sweet refreshment (does that make sense?). Green mossy-citrusy notes blend beautifully with tart berries and orange blossom.

Blackberry clearly noticeable. Along with sweet, creamy orange blossom and soft herbs.
A slight animalistic note is also present.
I really like it.
