BR540 for Men

The title basically says it all.

It's more pungent and less musky than the original, making it more unisex towards masculine smelling to my nose, it's like they tried to go for a twist on BR450 targeted towards men, it is still VERY sweet but not in a candy cotton fluffy type of sweetness that could appeal female wearers, this has a strange...almost rubbery undertone to it, which makes it 100 times better than the original IMHO.

Performance is really good, I go noseblind to it almost immediately but it lasts 7-8 hours on my skin, I put the fragrance in my backpack when I bought it and it leaked a TINY bit (so that's a thumbs down for QC, even though I really really like the bottle except for the cap), well, my backpack still smells a bit of the fragrance after a week.

It's a solid buy, try and grab it before it gets discontinued or weakened as Zara usually does with newer batches or new releases.

Straight 9/10.

Sexy, rich & modern!

It has long been known that Zara has a nose for extremely appealing fragrances.
No matter which Zara fragrance you test, there is none that is completely off-putting.
The entire fragrance collections of recent years are aimed at the self-confident, modern man who simply wants to smell good without making a science out of it.
Parfumo niche virtuosos will most likely have their problems with the mass-produced fragrances and won't be able to do much with them.

Which brings me directly to the subject of quality.
Nobody who knows anything about fragrances will expect high-end quality for €20-30 in a fashion boutique designed for the average earner.
Also, considering the price, you shouldn't expect beast fashion in terms of sillage and durability.

This year, Zara proves that things can be done differently with the Red Edition Intense.
I have to give it a big thumbs up, because the fragrance is not only very appealing and close to the BR 540, but also finally has a decent performance!
The short shelf life has always put me off picking up one or two fragrances.
But here I can still smell the fragrance after 8 hours!
That's probably a record for Zara!
I would like Zara to increase the perfume content in their fragrances in the future, so that all fragrances last longer than a stay in a Zara store!
I would also be happy to pay a little more.
Because you really have to give Zara credit for one thing - they can definitely create good fragrances!

Zara 2024 hits it out of the park again

Sprayed on for the first time in the store ,
did not notice so much.

After 20 min I get such an extremely delicious smell in my nose all the time .
That came from the back of my hand.
Sweet and somehow rich.

Perfect for spring fall and winter. Think also top for club and date nights.

I have never smelled the BR 540 before so I can't draw any comparisons.

Durability was really strong.

I bought the fragrance now and have the feeling it is less intense.
It may be due to the batch.

Surprisingly a compliment getter!

A rainy afternoon had taken me to a nearby department store. Once there, I rattled through all the perfume stores.
I ignored Zara, a fashion store. By chance and thanks to a friend and his girlfriend, we ended up there.
Once there, the perfume section caught my eye. So, I rushed straight in and sniffed through the Zara fragrance world.
Fascinated and actually surprised by some of the fragrances, one in particular stood out. The For Him Red Edition Intense.

The fragrance exudes a fresh, energetic and sweet wave that I would love to surf on. The interplay of the individual fragrance notes, for me, perfectly coordinated.
And even when worn on a daily basis, whether at work or in a normal environment, the fragrance is really something! I have never received so many compliments and questions about what kind of fragrance it is.
Of course, I don't yet have the broad spectrum that some others here on Parfumo have. And I'm sure there are other perfumes where you get something like this more often.
But I think for this price, this fragrance is simply a must for anyone who likes to receive compliments. In terms of price/performance, it is simply bombastic. I can no longer imagine my collection without it. A

It easily lasts eight hours and gets you through a working day perfectly. Always there but not too intrusive and very pleasant on the nose. A beautiful, well-rounded and, for me, timeless fragrance that is perfect for the modern man.

The bottle is the only small drawback. It's really nothing special and the lid doesn't have a magnetic closure either. The atomizer is "OK". But you have to turn a blind eye somewhere for the price.

Conclusion: Top daily fragrance, super price, super durability. What more could a man want? ;)

I'm standing in the kitchen...

... and I'm making roast potatoes and adding ground caraway seeds, which release their full aroma in the kitchen. Just add a few wieners and the meal is perfect.

When I apply this fragrance, the first thing I notice is a strong caraway aroma (even though it is not in the fragrance pyramid), followed a little later by a slight sweetness from the tonka bean, while the vanilla makes it slightly creamy. Light citrus notes come from very far back. The fragrance is rounded off with a woody accord. The fragrance is masculine but without dominating.

The silage and durability are good.

This is a fragrance for men aged 30 and over. On cold days, I think this perfume can be worn on any occasion. Ladies can also try this fragrance, even if it has a masculine aspect.

Anyone who likes a woody, spicy, sweet fragrance is in good hands here.
