Soft drink (no fruit juice)
I love the combination of vetiver and citrus.
That's because when combined with vetiver, it reproduces the real astringency and bitterness of citrus. I think it goes especially well with grapefruit.
After this fragrance was released, various reviewers praised it, and YouTubers and influencers also praised it, saying, "Just like Jo Malone!" Of course, she is no longer with Jo Malone...
I have tried all the citrus scents in this series, but unfortunately I did not end up buying them all. (One reason is that ZARA's style does not fit my beliefs... but that does not take into account the scent)
This is great considering the price. However, if you want the finest citrus, I recommend Laboratorio Olfattivo by Jean-Claude Ellena. Given the price difference, it is natural that there is a difference in quality, so I understand that.
However, I really wanted a realistic citrus juice that overflows with juice when you bite into it and has a sour taste that tingles your tongue, so I tried this many times, but in the end it didn't feel right.
To me, this is a fairly artificial grapefruit. It's obvious when compared to grapefruit essential oil (peel oil), and it didn't feel very realistic (well, it's only natural since the essential oil wasn't diluted). I wanted a sharper scent from the opening.
I wanted a scent that would splash into my eyes and hurt them, so it didn't suit me.
If the scent of grapefruit essential oil is close to the scent of 100% grapefruit, I feel this is closer to a juice-free soft drink that uses grapefruit flavoring. Also, the vetiver is not a strong vetiver, but a rounded scent, and when it dries down it almost smells woody.
I immediately thought of a drink called "Pocari Sweat" that is commonly sold in my country. It felt like a grapefruit-flavored sports drink with woody notes added, and I just couldn't find the woody notes at the end beautiful.
I found it to be a very mediocre citrus cologne.
However, if you're looking for a fresh, inoffensive citrus scent at this price range, this may be the best buy.
If you're looking for a perfect citrus scent, even if it costs more, I recommend taking a break and trying a different scent.
Since it's citrus, it's terrible to expect it to last. If you want it to last, you'll have to carry it around and reapply it yourself.
As an aside, when I think about the working environment at ZARA, I always hesitate to buy a bottle because I feel like someone is making a big sacrifice for my beauty.
Since scents have a strong effect on memory, I think brand image is important after all.
