Play-doh vanilla with bad performance
Slightly rubbery vanilla with some smoky facets. Not a bad scent, especially for those who want a budget alternative to some of the more expensive vanilla scents out there like Spiritueuse Double Vanille. Not ultra sweet, the musk flattens it out and brings the vanilla down to earth. The main problem is the performance, at least on my skin. I have to stick my nose to where I sprayed to get anything after a couple of hours.

Joa, somehow not easy... although the scent is so simple..
As a rule, vanilla fragrances and I are in harmony. I know that they are flooding the market at the moment, but I associate winter with vanilla, which is why I wear a lot of fragrances of this type. I came across Une Vanille by Obvious through a consultation in a small perfumery. Basically an exciting concept for this brand: everything is sustainably produced, even the alcohol is obtained from plants (at least that's what I read).

Ultimately, it is precisely this alcohol that makes the fragrance somehow difficult to accept for the first 20 minutes. When spraying it on, you almost have to be careful that it doesn't overwhelm you - the pure disinfection hits you. It's not boozy or anything like that, it's just a bit unpleasant and not at all what you would expect from a vanilla fragrance.

Don't worry: the vanilla is still to come, and after the little disinfection, that's the only note that remains. It is a subtle vanilla, almost sweet and absolutely unobtrusive. Une Vanille is an easily tolerated niche experience for all those who don't need a room filler. It lasts a good 8 hours on me, the sillage was strong for the first hour at most and then levels off.

Une Vanille therefore needs a moment to take effect. I realize for myself that I need the right day to be able to accept the opening. After that I like it, it wears beautifully and unobtrusively to work and you smell yourself every now and then and think: yes, this is vanilla, without corners, without edges..

Powdery sweet
Inspired by a creator on TikTok, I bought myself obvious une vanille. I like vanilla and tonka, so nothing can go wrong. Obviously.

The opening is alcoholic. It just smells like pure alcohol. When it fades, an incredibly sweet, powdery tonka vanilla (?) remains.
It is definitely not a classic vanilla and also not a vanilla extract that you can smell, which is probably due to the base notes
Muscenone and Globalide. I can't even say it's a synthetic scent because all I smell is a sweet powdery cloud.

I have tried layering it with other perfumes, such as Kayali Utopia Vanilla-Coco 21, to give the scent a sweeter note.

I would not buy this perfume again. It's so extremely powdery and indefinably sweet that I can't and wouldn't want it on its own.

While it won't make the wearer more attractive, this fragrance does create a comforting mood in any space.

A musky, "unisex"-leaning vanilla. Bourbon vanilla, with subtly-chemical-feeling musk. Still pleasant; a good basic vanilla.
