Everything fits, nothing paradoxical
Scent post from Mrs. A. from B., *yay*. Included is a little card, ..I would appreciate a comment…. Hm, because at the moment I have little desire and time for scents, for Parfumo, for comments. So, off with the samples into my handbag and first just relax.
Two weeks have passed, I rummage through my handbag looking for my key card. I already have the sample of Paradox in my hand. Well, if it pushes itself so insistently to the forefront, come here darling, now it’s your turn. A wave of lipstick accord like in Lipstick on hits me, not bad, I suspect creamy iris. This note disappears, to my regret, faster than a flash in the sky and makes way for a strong hairspray note with fresh lime, not unpleasant. Orange blossom spreads out, neat and nice. Now Paradox reminds me of Brit Rhythm. I know that I have read Angua's comment on the scent, but I can’t remember either the scent description or the ingredients. On top of that, I’m annoyed that I’m testing at the office; I would love to spray Brit Rhythm for comparison directly. And I can’t check the scent ingredients on Parfumo right now, the firewall in the office has been tightened *sigh* and my phone battery is dead. The sillage is quite decent for a sprayer; while writing, the scent keeps rising to my nose. In the next three hours, Paradox weakens, but hardly changes; I smell powdery, slightly sugared orange blossom and something floral that I can’t quite identify, maybe the iris from the beginning as well as light musk. Then I forget to sniff; during my lunch break, I remember my test again. Oops, Paradox is gone, completely. The longevity is between 4 to 5 hours, but with very restrained spraying. The sillage is strong in the first hour, then in the medium range.
Conclusion: A powdery, linear floral, not bad, but I miss something. A slight similarity to Brit Rhythm is undeniable after a comparison, but Brit offers lavender and that fine leather note, which makes the scent more interesting for me. Paradox is an uncomplicated, fresh companion for spring to autumn and probably not the best choice for guys.
P.S. The supposed iris must be the violet. Mrs. A. from B. has the much finer nose :o)
Thank you dear Mrs. A., the remaining samples will accompany me on vacation and hopefully rekindle my desire for scents.
