Summer gourmand!!

Heat Wild Orchid is the perfect summer pick me up perfume.
I feel it like eating a huge ice cream next to the beach.
I don't have to say much about it but really it screams ice cream.
I add Heat Wild Orchid to the gourmands list.
Enjoy.

It is no secret that Beyonce and her husband Jay-Z are huge fans of Tom Ford and are also close friends with him, just as it is well-known that the diva exudes extraordinary sexiness. However, it is surprising that the beautiful star is so enamored with the designer that she openly chases after him in terms of perfumes. After all, she often stands for courage, personal style, and emancipation.

Heat Wild Orchid is a flanker to the extremely successful Heat and can be described as an infantile sugar cocktail mix of this and Tom Ford's Black Orchid (or Violet Orchid). Definitely a cocktail and vacation vibe - and delicious. But you really need to have a very sweet nose, should not be over 21, and if possible, be female. Sugar, orchids, coconut milk, vanilla, orange blossom - a sparkling, brief fun and very synthetic (even though I can't stand hearing that word anymore). It disappears super quickly, but is still memorable - like a one-night stand in Fiji.

Bottle: really well done for a celebrity fragrance.
Sillage: a sweet cocktail - if present, then with impact.
Longevity: rarely has such sweetness been a short visitor - 3-4 hours.

Conclusion: one of the better celebrity fragrances - but neither Miss Knowles nor the original Heat can hold a candle to it!

In vain I wait

for a scent that will be as big a hit as the original "Heat".
I have tested over 280 fragrances since discovering "Heat" and my love for perfume in 2011, but none have convinced me as much as "Still" by Jennifer Lopez.
Not even Beyoncé can deliver. She has already released 8 fragrances, 4 of them in the promising Heat bottle. I have eagerly tested them all each time, but none have enchanted me.
So this year brought the next hope with "Heat Wild Orchid" to the market. I must say, I really don't know what this is supposed to be. Sweet, sweet, sweet and orchids. Slightly powdery and somehow pink.
And the strange thing is, it hardly changes at all. Coconut nectar is not detectable, pomegranate can be faintly sensed in the background.
Musk, orchid, and caramel are all that make up the scent.
Maybe it’s fun to wear in summer, it smells like a pool party with girlfriends.

A Woman Doesn't Always Have It Easy

Recently, I acquired Heat Wild Orchid. Once again out of pure curiosity. I've had enough time to test it now.

Mmh, what should I say, where do I start?

It must be said that Beyonce and I haven't always had an easy relationship. For example, I think "Heat Rush" is quite good. And "Heat The Mrs. Carter Show World Tour" would have really excited me if it weren't for the poor longevity. And I couldn't relate to "Rise" at all.

And now I have "Heat Wild Orchid" in front of me. I find the bottle very beautiful. Much prettier than depicted above.

As for the scent, to be honest, I expected something different. I don't know how you feel, but I was expecting a floral fragrance.

Upon the first spray, I am enveloped in a strong cloud of cotton candy. However, this subsides a bit after a few seconds. It becomes fruity sweet, and I can clearly perceive the pomegranate with the coconut nectar. The floral notes like orchid and magnolia, however, remain very subtle in the background. After about an hour, the scent just smells sweet. Pleasant, but I can no longer detect any specific fragrance notes.

And now the question. Do I like it or do I not like it?
I did expect something different, but I'm not really disappointed either. It is and remains quite sweet, but always in a pleasant way. What disappoints me, though, is once again the poor longevity. After three hours, that’s it.

But I will not lose faith. One day, Beyonce will completely impress me with a fragrance.

Well, no one said it would be easy. ;-)
