The soapy soapyness
When wearing this I feel clean. So clean… newly washed. It actually smells like a bar of soap. The soap bars from my childhood. The white ones that everybody used. That foamed immensely when you added water. To me, back then, it was a kind of therapy. I could stand for a long time in front of the bathroom sink, with the water running - back then no one thought about the Earth running out of clean water ever - and just play with the foam. Washing my hands and feeling the foam cover them. After doing this, the hands always felt very dry. But that did not matter. The smell of the soap of my hands lasted for hours.
Eau Emotionelle has an extraordinary soapy note. I do smell the flowers, gardenia and rose, but from the beginning to the end it is mostly soap. Not bad at all. The pink pepper adds a spicy edge to it, which makes it a bit more interesting - a bit more like a perfume. That suits the scent.
Bodo Sperlein is the designer behind the original Agent Provocateur bottle, the adorable hand grenade. This one comes with a black lace ribbon tied to the split and a lace pattern on the bottle, which is a lovely baby pink colour. I find it a mix between tasteful and fun. It is definitely a bottle that stands out and recommendable for the shelf if anyone asks.
This fragrance, though, is no room rocker. It is wearable at all times and for all occasions. Discreet and feminine. Maybe that is also why it is not a scent I wear a lot. I find it nice and it brings back good memories. But it is not scent I would go and buy again. I guess the one I have will last long.

Agent Provocateur N°3
Agent Provocateur Eau Emotionelle was among the first 3 fragrances I got to know from this lingerie brand. I can no longer remember exactly whether the agent Provocateur or Maitresse was the first one I had. The Eau Emitionelle must have been the third in the group. It's been about five years since I bought it. And just as long no comment has been written about this fragrance, so time will come!

The Eau Emotionelle is actually quite similar to the "original" agent Provocateur, also in the fragrance pyramid. With the Eau Emotionelle it has been extended with some ingredients like the wine yeast (no idea how it smells!), pink pepper, rosemary, as well as osmanthus and white tea.
Nevertheless, Eau Emotionelle smells overall a little softer and lighter than the big sister.
The coriander takes itself back here a little and leaves pink pepper for it the lead.
Nevertheless it is altogether a spicy-flowery smell, classically breathed on so that surely also older ladies would like to wear it, thus age-moderately from young, if one has such smell preferences and does not only like sugar-sweet up to open I would say.
The base is musky, slightly animalistic, that's what I love. Amber is discreetly present and gives a slight warmth.

He's not quite as intense as his big sister, who I like even better. Although the Eau Emotionelle is also very good and I like it very much.
The bottle again has the typical egg-shaped hand grenade shape. Instead of old-pink, this bottle is pale pink, slightly transparent with a delicate net-shaped pattern, which is supposed to represent delicate lace or fishnet stockings. The black ribbon on the "neck" is also made of lace instead of leather.

If I had to make a decision, I would probably choose the predecessor, but this one also has its advantages, for example it is more suitable for everyday use. It's probably also a matter of taste which one prefers. Both are beautiful, great scents and the brand Agent Provocateur stands out anyway positively from the mainstream area and offers really beautiful appealing scents with level and class.

Disappointing when compared to the original
Supposedly this is the lighter variation of the original, however I don't entirely agree. In some ways I see this fragrance as the younger version of Agent Provocateur because it is so light and transparent.

The scent itself is actually very faint, a big shock to the nose after smelling Agent Provocateur. Added to this fragrance is the note of pink pepper which is rather dominant in the top and heart of this perfume. Although Eau Emotionelle attempts to emulate the spiciness and sexiness of the original, it never achieves what Agent Provocateur had captured so well.

I was a little disappointed that Eau Emotionelle wasn't as outstanding and daring as its original. This fragrance was much too bland for my tastes.

For lovers of Agent Provocateur, you will either love it or hate it. If you happen to love it, you will appreciate it for having the versatility to be worn during the warmer months and to the office.

Starts out as a very peppery floral, (almost like Gres Cabaret without the rose) and dries down to a silky sexy musk. A love!
