Disappointing when compared to the original
Supposedly this is the lighter variation of the original, however I don't entirely agree. In some ways I see this fragrance as the younger version of Agent Provocateur because it is so light and transparent.

The scent itself is actually very faint, a big shock to the nose after smelling Agent Provocateur. Added to this fragrance is the note of pink pepper which is rather dominant in the top and heart of this perfume. Although Eau Emotionelle attempts to emulate the spiciness and sexiness of the original, it never achieves what Agent Provocateur had captured so well.

I was a little disappointed that Eau Emotionelle wasn't as outstanding and daring as its original. This fragrance was much too bland for my tastes.

For lovers of Agent Provocateur, you will either love it or hate it. If you happen to love it, you will appreciate it for having the versatility to be worn during the warmer months and to the office.

The soapy soapiness
When wearing this I feel clean. So clean… newly washed. It actually smells like a bar of soap. The soap bars from my childhood. The white ones that everybody used. That foamed immensely when you added water. To me, back then, it was a kind of therapy. I could stand for a long time in front of the bathroom sink, with the water running - back then no one thought about the Earth running out of clean water ever - and just play with the foam. Washing my hands and feeling the foam cover them. After doing this, the hands always felt very dry. But that did not matter. The smell of the soap of my hands lasted for hours.
Eau Emotionelle has an extraordinary soapy note. I do smell the flowers, gardenia and rose, but from the beginning to the end it is mostly soap. Not bad at all. The pink pepper adds a spicy edge to it, which makes it a bit more interesting - a bit more like a perfume. That suits the scent.
Bodo Sperlein is the designer behind the original Agent Provocateur bottle, the adorable hand grenade. This one comes with a black lace ribbon tied to the split and a lace pattern on the bottle, which is a lovely baby pink colour. I find it a mix between tasteful and fun. It is definitely a bottle that stands out and recommendable for the shelf if anyone asks.
This fragrance, though, is no room rocker. It is wearable at all times and for all occasions. Discreet and feminine. Maybe that is also why it is not a scent I wear a lot. I find it nice and it brings back good memories. But it is not scent I would go and buy again. I guess the one I have will last long.

Soapy clean
I agree with previous reviews describing Agent Provocateur Eau Emotionelle as soapy and clean. It has that soft soapiness that lingers after using a nice bar of soap. I can tell there are vague florals and spices in this but can't specify which. This feels like a cozy soapy cloud, like getting into clean sheets. It's light enough to be worn in any season. But it blooms best in spring. This is the type or scent that makes me feel cozy and happy when I spray it on.

Agent Provocateur N°3
Agent Provocateur Eau Emotionelle was among the first 3 fragrances I got to know from this lingerie brand. I can’t quite remember now whether Agent Provocateur or Maitresse was the first one I had. So, Eau Emotionelle must have been the third in the group. It’s been about five years since I bought it. And it’s been just as long since a comment has been written about this fragrance, so it’s about time!

Eau Emotionelle is actually quite similar to the "original" Agent Provocateur, even in the scent pyramid. In Eau Emotionelle, it has been enhanced with some ingredients like wine yeast (no idea what that smells like!), pink pepper, rosemary, as well as osmanthus and white tea.
Nevertheless, Eau Emotionelle overall smells a bit softer and lighter than its big sister.
The coriander takes a bit of a backseat here and lets the pink pepper take the lead.
Still, it is overall a spicy-floral fragrance, classically tinged so that older ladies would surely enjoy wearing it as well, age-wise from young, as long as one has such fragrance preferences and doesn’t only like sugary sweet scents-upwards is open, I would say.
The base is musky, slightly animalic, which I really love. Amber is subtly present and adds a slight warmth.

It’s just not quite as intense as the big sister, which I like even better. Although Eau Emotionelle is also very well done and I like it too.
The bottle again has the typical egg-shaped hand grenade form. Instead of old rose, this bottle is light pink, slightly transparent with a delicate net-like pattern. This is supposed to represent delicate lace or fishnet stockings. The black ribbon at the "neck" is also made of lace instead of leather.

If I had to choose, I would probably go for the predecessor, but this one also has its advantages, for example, it’s more suitable for everyday wear. It’s probably a matter of taste which one you prefer. Both are beautiful, great fragrances, and the brand Agent Provocateur stands out positively from the mainstream and offers really beautiful appealing scents with sophistication and class.

Pepper in HelloKitty Tank Bottom
I thought I would find absolutely sexy male magnets with the brand Agent Provocateur. Well, that's not quite what I found. Anyone familiar with the lingerie inevitably has a clear image in mind of the direction the fragrances are likely to take. From my perspective, only the signature scent holds this unspoken promise. And how it holds it! The top note of "Agent Provocateur" reminds me of sweat and unwashed body areas. That's even too much for me. However, I found the base very nice: dark, mystical, oriental heaviness. So, how about the Eau Emotionelle, Blanche?

I then grabbed a sample from KittyHawk and tested it eagerly. The first disillusionment, which actually also lets some hope sprout: The Eau Emotionelle is a completely different scent than "Agent Provocateur." Different, but not much better. The "Agent Provocateur Eau Emotionelle" is a light (yes!!), floral pepper scent. Here, pepper and especially rose do not wield the leather whip, but wear HelloKitty tank bottoms (grandma's panties), five pieces for 14.90. I have nothing against this lingerie; it's super comfortable and fluffy, but as Agent Provocateur, that's not acceptable! The scent is really not bad, but it comes with a very poor longevity on my skin and the fact that I feel too misled (fooled) by the naming.

My Agent Provocateur interim conclusion:
Agent Provocateur: 40% (managed to fight its way up a bit due to the base)
Agent Provocateur Eau Emotionelle: 50% (see above)
Maitresse: 50-60% (good but interchangeable, doesn't stay in memory, so far the best)

Starts out as a very peppery floral, (almost like Gres Cabaret without the rose) and dries down to a silky sexy musk. A love!

Like all APs, Eau Emotionelle has a subtle eroticism that is enticing. One might imagine actually smelling the wine yeast.

According to the pyramid, I should actually like it, but I find Eau Emotionelle (like many other APs) rather difficult. Hair spray bomb.

Floral-spicy with hints of fruit and herbs. I like it a lot. S + L are unfortunately quite weak for me.
