CPO#6 Buried Under Soap
Goodness, what a board, I mean washboard, with a lot of soap. Pure soap.
Of course, this needs to be scented, otherwise it would be boring.
Al Rehab uses sandalwood here, probably also nutmeg and a citrus blend that is not further specified...
The Man is yet another fragrance where an attempt was surely made to concentrate western vintage scents to a maximum level, and do it in an Arabic way. The perfume oil is so strong that a small swipe on the pulse points is enough to create a decent sillage. So 3ml = 100ml.
As it develops, the soapy-citrusy aspect diminishes a bit (but only a bit), now wood notes dominate the further scent progression. It remains very spicy overall, yet always on the fresh side, and I always associate something coniferous in the background. But it could also be because it resembles Amir by Sultan Essancy, which indeed smells very soapy-woody.
The Man is, however, crafted more beautifully, no question, but you really have to be into spicy hardcore soapy scents. It's not entirely my thing, but let's see how my scent impressions change over time.
Edit: I already know: This one is not for me... There aren't many fragrances I can't stand, but The Man definitely belongs to that category, hence another deduction in the rating.
Edit: The more sparingly it is used, the better it is. So minimal use leads to the best result.
