Hi guys, welcome to a new fragrance commentary from me. Today it's about a somewhat special fragrance, as we are dealing with a creation by Frank Albrecht (the owner of the Albrecht perfumeries in Frankfurt). And it's not just any fragrance of the fragrance seller's own, but is meant to represent the federal state of Hesse.
Among other things, it has been designed to serve as a souvenir from Hesse, for example as a small addition for visitors (especially from foreign investors). It is also intended to make people in Hessen proud that they have their own fragrance. It is a pity, however, that there is currently only little information available about this fragrance, which was released in limited quantities...
Be that as it may, what can you expect from such a fragrance? It's hard to say, of course, I mean, how can a whole state smell anyway? But let's wait and sniff first, maybe you can tell by the smell!
I can't smell the listed mandarins, even the apples fade out quickly or become weaker quickly.
Later, the fruity notes become even weaker, so the fragrance is mainly floral-powdery with sweetish notes. The sweetness comes from the violets as well as a little bit of amber, but I can't identify the other floral notes exactly, but I think I can smell the indicated ylang-ylang, because the fragrance also has a heavy floral note and I assign this to the ylang-ylang.
The finish remains sweet and powdery, without the ylang-ylang making the fragrance heavier. All in all, the scent is quite nice, but also somehow very trivial.
The bottle! The flacon was designed by design students from Darmstadt and is rectangular, with the lower part made of Hessian apple wood and the upper part of porcelain. The handle of the lid is a vertical transparent disc. The flacon in general is quite nice, especially because it looks a bit different from a typical fragrance flacon. At least I like it.
Well, actually, no Because actually the fragrance smells like a fresh, loose women's fragrance with soft powdery notes and a little fruity scent. If you take a brief look at the apples, you might think that apples now belong to Hesse, because of the Ebbelwoi and all, but that's it.
But you also have to consider that it is totally difficult to create a fragrance for a federal state that should be usable. I mean, who would want to use a scent that smells like Hessian specialties, such as greasy Handkäs with music, Frankfurter sausages, Uffschnitt, Weckewerk and other specialties that are mainly based on sausage again, such as Ahle Wurscht? Well well, you could have added some marzipan or almonds to the scent to remind of Bethmännchen, with which I once again mention a specialty especially from Frankfurt, but you hopefully know that Frankfurt is "Best City of Germany", yes yes yes, nothing against Frankfurt :))
But if you are disappointed that it doesn't smell like hand cheese here, just go to the Kleinmarkthalle in Frankfurt, it smells like all kinds of things like that :DD
And you can also bite into many things :D Well, at least you can do that again when we have overcome the Corona crisis and have many things open again, which hopefully won't last forever *sigh*
Be that as it may, the fragrance reminds me little of Hesse, and even as a fragrance it is rather mediocre for me, as it has nothing new or special to offer in itself, and is therefore just a nice gimmick for me, which one could be happy about if one is lucky enough to have the fragrance as Hesse in one's collection. All the others need not be sad about it if they cannot test it.

The Sillage and the durability:
The Sillage is rather discreet and therefore the scent can only be smelled up close. So you will not attract much attention with this scent.
