I love this
This scent seems to be a little divisive? it's easy, it's cute, it's inoffensive and hard to spray too much, but scent has to deliver on fantasy and with so many scents this one might be passed over for more exciting "stories". But what I get from this fragrance is not just the clean creaminess of the base that I get whiffs of throughout a lazy summer day, or the deep breaths to get the spicier notes which can almost become meditative in any scent, but for me it reminds me of those weird little ambient cd's I saw in health stores in the 2000s (like Anugama or something). It's vaguely oriental in its suggestion of an "exotic" place, and hardly delivers on that front, but when you see it for what it is, an enjoyable piece of music or a truly delicious scent, you can see the beauty in that too. The marketing does this scent no good, so try to ignore it.

When I wear this perfume I can hear a small stream, water clattering against rocks and I'm burning a little bit in the sun, and I have nowhere to be and nothing to do. To me this scent is very calming, that's why it's a perfect "summer day scent" to me.

Yeah, this smells really good to me! It's creamy and smooth without being edible, it lasts a long time on me (~8-10 hours), when it's hot it becomes kind of coconut/banana like, and I like that I can disappear into my wrist when I smell it and I can hear that stupid Anugama cd and the nostalgia of that does bring me a lot of joy.

Nomade for Summer
I purchased this without sampling, wasn’t really sure what to expect as this flanker seems to be getting some mixed reviews. Well, it arrived today and upon first sniff, I fell in love. It is so beautiful and classy. I actually like this better than Nomade Nuit d’Egypte, which I also have.

This Lumiere flanker is honestly not really similar to Nuit, this is a light, fresh, kinda aquatic, elegant jasmine with some noticeable green notes. (Whereas Nuit is more of a sweet, vaguely spicy orange blossom and vanilla.) Lumiere apparently has the same “spice” backbone as Nuit d’Egypte but I’m not really picking up on it. This will be a perfect spring/summer daytime fragrance.

The scent of growing up
Ancient Egypt themed party at an indoor kiddie pool. Plastic lilypads floating on chlorinated water. Soft drinks – cold and fresh, yet syrupy sweet. Playing pretend. Having fun. Going to bed and smelling newly changed sheets. The scent of fabric softener – synthetic and a bit harsh, but it transports you further into fantasy nonetheless as you drift off to sleep.

Much fresher than other Nomads. Childish. Lovable. The 12-year-old me would die for it.

But then (about an hour into the experience) blue lotus starts fizzling out. Sandalwood becomes more visible – fresh, almost... unripe in a way? Pleasantly resinous beneath. It's pretty, like a summer evening coming to an end. And melancholic, like growing up.

Another hour and its youth comes to an end. And what's left suddenly smells like pickles. Not in a figurative sense. Literal honey and vinegar pickles. And don't get me wrong, it's not too bad. I personally really like pickles. But it's not what I'm looking for in a perfume. Then again, I suppose that's adulthood for you, lol.

Over the next few hours it slowly gets softer and eventually withers away. Fun and memorable as a one time experience! Wouldn't wear it again.

Breeze of the Nile
I really like Nuit d’Egypte, and I can sense the same base here - a sweet, balsamic balm that I find very appealing.

But there’s also a clear aquatic touch and a fresher jasmine, which make this fragrance better suited for warm weather (although I wouldn't mind wearing it all year round).

So Lumière d’Egypte is a creamy, sweet oriental balm with a fresh edge. I see it’s not very popular, but personally, I really like it - a warm breeze along the banks of the Nile.

Understatement with Style - the Softest Nomad
Those familiar with the Nomade line will discover a new facet here. Nomade Lumière d’Égypte remains true to the signature style: warm, elegant, and natural - but it features a surprising aquatic opening that makes it airier and fresher than its predecessors.

While the OG Nomade Eau de Parfum has a more earthy presence with its oakmoss-plum combination and Nomade Absolu de Parfum sets spicier accents with wood and leather, Nomade Lumière d’Égypte is undoubtedly the subtlest and softest variant in the line. Not loud, but with just the right balance.

After the fresh start, a subtle, warm jasmine-wood note follows, adding a creamy, slightly floral depth without being intrusive. Sillage? Close to the body. Longevity? Typical for Chloé, up to 6 hours. So it’s a fragrance that is present but not screaming.

Conclusion: This scent is perfect for the office or for anyone who loves understatement.

Beautiful jasmine. i get spiciness in the opening, but then it becomes sweeter and warmer. I wonder if it will be too heavy in summer.

Alright?... Super creamy jasmine, not completely floral and get a slight green note, and a quite sour one (which is the red pepper).

Resin, lots of wood, pepper, subtly floral. Unfortunately, I don't find the entire Nomade line that nice. This one doesn't cut it either.

A nicely green explosion that starts off so soft and delicate, but then evokes an ivy-green grave mood instead of being resinous.

Floral, spicy, heavy - definitely not my cup of tea.
But Aunt Berta would have surely found it 'fragrant' (heh heh) in the 1980s.

Many flowers, a hint of cinnamon and resin. For me, it's a bit too "perfumey". I don't see the connection to Egypt here either.

Reminds me of Marfa. Could have sworn there's tuberose in it... Initially surprisingly bright & fruity, then very sweet and dense with a disturbing note.

Not bad at all! A lovely fresh-floral flanker that will work great in summer. Floral-fresh, woody + a bit aquatic.

Musty, spicy, you can really smell the jasmine.
Not my thing at all. Longevity isn't great either.
