Paradoxe Prada 2022 Eau de Parfum

Kinda strong! I was expecting something more generic but it surprised me! A lil slutty for the office but also definitely wear it to the office. If you're thinking "is this over the line?" just know that HR is measuring Paradoxe as THE line. Any stronger sillage and you WILL have a formal complaint against you. Weirdly the strong projection is not matched with equally strong longevity, so by the time you get the Slack message requesting a one-on-one at 3pm, you can successfully gaslight as if it was never there.

I originally smelled this on paper in store and really liked it. Floral, candy like, and somewhat youthful, but not overly sweet. More like a suble sour candy you can suck on for hours. My girlfriend wears this all this time and its absolutly intoxicating and one of my favoriate fragrances of all time. I don't understand the low ratings besides maybe leaning generic, but I can recoginze it every time.

So sad to smell this new perfume by Prada and finding nothing memorable in it. Just another unremarkable and unoriginal safe clean pear floral vanillla combo.

Seems most brands keep their interesting creations for a few exclusive buyers (I'm talking about exclusive lines for over 250e for 100ml), and deliver grey flat uniform creations for the masses which buy one perfume a year.

A stupid approach which Prada didn't always share, just look at the whole infusión line.

So quite a disappointment.

Let's remember all these fashion brands wouldn't be able to survive just with their benefits from the few ultrarich.

Please, make good perfumes for common people again.

Give us some respect, if you want our money.

[...] A sweet, obnoxious mess. So, she's gone, I don't have her anymore and all I have to offer is this photo [not added here]. I think it's the first time I'm just posting a photo without a review. And I don't like it.

I only remember that I laughed out loudly when I smelled it the first time, because of the backstory of the name, Paradoxe, whereas the fragrance has nothing to do with opposites at all. No duality, nothing contrasting, nothing special. It was so sweet and monotonous I washed it off after a couple of hours, because it was so bad. I honestly remember the jokes I was cracking about it better than I remember how it smelled, because it's so unmemorable.

I enjoyed the bourbon vanilla base, but everything else about this perfume was so typical, yet screechy. You'd find more unique, pleasing scents at Bath & Body Works. It smells like the perfume area at a department store. I'm going to finish the little sample size I have of this, but it's not worth a purchase imo. There are notes in this I love in many of my favorite perfumes, like pear, jasmine sambac, nectarine, tangerine, white musk, and benzoin, but the white florals are overwhelming combined with the extremely synthetic rendition of pear. It's extremely strong in my opinion, but I do have a sensitive nose and get headaches from fragrance more quickly than average (daily wear is 1-2 sprays max for moderate sillage perfumes).
