Weird Note of Raisins
Gosh, I want to love this so bad. On paper, it's exactly what I want--a well balanced chypre with a strong oakmoss undertone. However, I can't get past the Mirabelle Plum. To me, it doesn't smell juicy at all. It smells like oozing overripe plums that have fallen off the tree in heaps and then baked in the sun for days. It's a sticky, sour, dried fruit smell.

For a chypre, this is a strong, long-lasting perfume. So if you are lucky enough to love this fragrance, it's a great value. However, for me, I tried it on a couple different days and had to scrub it off both times after a couple hours. I kept catching little whiffs of that weird raisin note and I find it repulsive.

Note: this only applies to the ADP version, the plum is much more subtle in the EDP version.

Cool and classy
Nomad [noun] - a member of a group of people that travels from place to place to find fresh pasture for its animals and has no permanent home; a person who does not stay long in the same place; a wanderer.

Nomad Absolu from chloe is the fragrance that immediately transports me to a mossy forest in which (for some reason) there is a plum tree so full with juicy sweet plums that it's branches are nearly breaking. Something so original and cool.. Of course it had to be my scent of the day for todays hike

The Nomad is on her journey ....
The first impression is fresh-fruity but also full of warmth and has a good woody undertone. I find it reminiscent of earlier vintage fragrances, very interesting and rounded. It suits the nomad who moves on and looks at the world with an open heart, continuing alone and stopping for a few wonderful encounters. She is remembered - a hint of good sandalwood and soft musk surrounds this free-spirited woman who wants to experience everything adventurously. Somehow, it also has an earthy quality for me, which is very trustworthy, coming from the old memories that one carries along the way. It is close to the body and only engages with the company of good and like-minded people - they perceive it. It lasts well but stays very close to me. I find it mature, not a girly scent. The fragrance of a modern Amazon who confidently walks her path, with great empathy in her heart.

Mediterranean Nomads
Hello dear fragrance enthusiasts and welcome to my new scent report. Today, it's about Nomade Absolu de Parfum by Chloe. So far, I only know the Eau de Parfum from the Nomade line, and it's been three years since I had it under my nose, so I actually don't remember how it was, just that I found it (based on my comment) above average good :)

Well, let's get to the scent here. Nomade, well I never know how certain fragrance names come about, because nomads are people who move from place to place, usually in certain patterns (seasonally dependent) mainly for economic reasons.
Here, the fragrance is supposed to symbolize the freedom of a woman who is free, modern, and independent, and who continually moves or wanders into new areas. Well, it's a bit of a simplified description of true nomadism, but for olfactory purposes, it suffices, especially to stimulate the imagination and dream about what it would be like to actually wander through the desert like a nomad.

Of course, everything is romanticized, because things like, for example, screaming in fear of scorpions are not mentioned, along with the scorching heat, blisters on the feet because one is not used to walking so much (yeah… try finding a drugstore in the middle of the desert to buy band-aids, he he) or such things :D
But well, as I said, one can dream or fantasize, and let's see if the scent has an exotic touch. Oh, and… did you know that scorpions are classified as spiders? Mu ha ha, now they probably seem even creepier to you than they already did :D

The Scent:
The beginning smells quite classic, like perfumes with bergamot or lemon, oak moss, and has a slightly aftershave-like scent. Then it becomes more floral and feminine, the fragrance is also fresh, fruity, and slightly citrusy. Whether I can best detect davana or mirabelle, I simply cannot say, because I have to google what these plants even look like, as I am too forgetful to remember plant names (everything that is a shrub is just bush to me, various flowers are simply just flowers, everything round and orange is just an orange (okay, not really :D) and I refer to every type of tree as a tree, although firs and pines are often called Christmas trees by me :DD).
Later, the scent remains sweetly floral and slightly fruity, and is also somewhat herbaceous. I find the woody scents and the musk here nice, even if they come across as slightly watery. The floral scents begin to smell a bit like those flowers in Mediterranean areas that have stood too long under the scorching sun.
This impression intensifies towards the end, but the musk also becomes stronger, so the scent radiates a nice, "dark" sweetness, along with a wonderful, soft woody note.
In the end, the musk becomes a bit stronger, just like the impression of sun-roasted flowers. Oak moss can still be smelled, as it is actually detectable throughout. Much later, only a gentle sweetness is perceptible. All in all, a nice fragrance.

The Sillage and Longevity:
The sillage is moderate, but remains consistent for several hours. The longevity is quite good, the scent lasts easily from morning to evening.

The Bottle:
The bottle is somewhat shield-shaped with a rather thick base. At the upper part, there is a recess into which the metal neck of the bottle has been inserted, on the front of which the name of the fragrance is engraved. The cylindrical cap is wrapped with a narrow leather band with studs. As a nice detail, there is also a leather strap hanging from the neck of the bottle. A beautiful bottle.

Conclusion:
Hmm… since I can't remember the regular Nomade EDP, I can't really say whether this scent resembles the EDP or smells completely different. In any case, the Absolu here smells quite nice, especially for those who want to smell both sweet and herbaceous and woody notes in a perfume, especially in the middle part, as the base is rather sweeter.

I find that the fragrance is suitable for everyday use, so both for going out and for daily spraying, and in any season, as it is neither heavy nor too light. Okay, maybe there are nicer fragrances for going out, but it wouldn't really be wrong to use this one as well. And at work, I might apply it in a lower dose and not necessarily bathe in it. The scent is therefore quite worth testing for me.

The name Nomade might even be somewhat fitting for the fragrance here, at least if one should think of something exotic with the nomadic existence, as the beginning of the scent also came across as Mediterranean to me. Well, and that's all I could write about the scent, now it's up to everyone whether they want to test the fragrance or not. Chloe as a brand is often quite nice and always worth a look or a sniff.

So then, have a nice evening and see you next time :)

So simple in appearance and yet so beautiful...
... and my friend says this fragrance is wonderful too. For almost the first time!
Nomade Absolu de Parfum even knocks him off his feet. Listen up...

Too sweet, too heavy, too much.
That's usually the refrain from him and my mom.
I love to chat their ears off when a new bottle or sample finds its way into my fragrance collection. You have to gather some unbiased feedback sometimes! I'm usually very euphoric and rush to my phone or PC to tell everyone how GREAT I find fragrance XY again. Unfortunately, among so many fragrance enthusiasts, there’s often someone who will agree with you..... :D

With Nomade, it was different this time. No usual too sweet, too heavy, you know the drill.
No. This time there were surprised ooohs and aaahs, "that smells great!" from Mom, my boyfriend immediately found it very feminine and "irresistible". I thought I was hearing things????? I was over the moon. FINALLY!

What I think is convincing about this fragrance is that it is simply - not too heavy or too sweet.
I would rather categorize it as "mass appealing".
It starts fruity fresh. I would almost say with a slightly citrusy freshness. Whether I can specifically identify Mirabelle or not, I can hardly claim that with good conscience here. There is fruit, and when I read Mirabelle, I would say that fits - but if I hadn't listed it here, I would struggle to name a fruit.
Oakmoss and Davana - after I just had to ask Google what the heck Davana smells like, I found that it is slightly woody, tea-like sweet, and sometimes reminiscent of dried fruits, especially plum. The latter fits wonderfully with the Mirabelle. I don't consciously smell oakmoss. A slightly earthy touch? Hmm.
I would emphasize sandalwood and musk. The (probably?) slightly woody note from the heart beautifully supports the sandalwood here to enhance it a bit. I often perceive musk as clean-powdery. Sometimes floral. Here too.

Overall, it results in a finely fresh, slightly fruity-sweet fragrance that has dusty powdery and woody undertones. But also somehow velvety and warm.
Thus, I find it a perfect companion for everyday life. It works wonderfully for both office and leisure, but I also don’t find it too boring for going out. A great all-rounder!
Longevity and sillage are not 10/10 knockouts. However, since it is so beautifully smooth and seamless, that doesn't bother me in the slightest. It is soft and feminine, somehow a bit "vintage".

It appears quite unassuming, but is still special and above all uniquely beautiful.

Very stylish and retro. At first it was similar to Bill Blass Nude, but in the dry down reminds me on M. A. Barrois Ganymede.

Woodier Nomade with fleshy, jammy fruits. Darker & more dense than OG. Missing the sparkle & bite of oakmoss, which some may prefer.

Spring-fresh, fruity, feather-light, and slightly bitter. There's something earthy, maybe lily? It becomes creamy.

autumnal, dark, earthy, starts off dusty but becomes beautifully woody, pleasantly fruity, subtle sweetness, velvety in the dry down.

I find the sweet-woody fruity combo irresistible here, not as zesty and prickly as EDP, but deep, sandy, salty, and warm. Quite beautiful!❤

Softer and milder than the original, but it lacks the freshness. A nice addition for the evening. I prefer the EdP for the office. H+S medium.
