I like you so much, despite your enormous sweetness
Morning Muscs can certainly afford its enormous sweetness, as the fragrance has more to offer besides the enticing peach.

Morning Muscs seduces with all feminine means, but here you don't buy a pig in a poke; the heart note caresses wonderfully like a silky second skin. Certainly not an intrusive scent that wants to make a statement. A fragrance that rewards when you get closer and brings a smile. Very feminine and lightly playful, the violet, rose, and iris dance on a spring day after the rain in the morning sun. Morning Muscs doesn't step on anyone's toes, as it lacks strength and depth. Morning Muscs is the loving little flag in the wind, the friendly sweet face of people, and is liked by all.

The base note gives the fragrance the necessary seriousness and literal foundation that it definitely needs. It's a pity that something a bit harsher isn't mixed in here. A touch of something animalic, resinous, or leathery wouldn't hurt the fragrance.

Despite all the side critiques, it's a very appealing scent if you enjoy sweetness. Morning Muscs is not a cheap sweet fashion scent; it is a sophisticated sweet women's fragrance for 30+.

It may be excellent for layering with a strongly masculine fragrance.

Much Better
I received two Alexandre-J samples at Sens Unique in Paris, each intended for my daughter. The brand is reportedly recommended there to customers who want to explore the niche. Indeed, 'Morning Muscs' is not particularly niche; it shares that with its sibling 'Iris Violet'.

After an overly sweet burst of fruit, from which only hints of rose initially emerge, the sweetness surprisingly dissipates quickly, making way for a relatively(!) serious demeanor. Latent chocolate nuances from patchouli soon trigger a "I've smelled this before..." and finally, the penny drops: 'Modern Classic for Women' by Brocard.

Now, of course, there’s no “Oh, that one!” since my comparison object is not exactly common with just a single registered owner. So, a few details: The Brocard delivered, after an opening of canned fruit, chocolates made from cheap, gritty Eastern Bloc chocolate; and that was - honestly! - not meant as a slight considering the manufacturer's provenance.

Today, I sense something similar, although, if my memory serves me right (the Brocard samples have long moved on), it seems a notch finer. The chocolate is reduced to a suggestion, while the rose - and certainly jasmine - play their part. It has the watery quality of fine roses, yet is gently touched with helpful fruit acidity.

Violet, the above-ground part, is plausible. If desired, it can even be imagined to lean towards light leather, though only with a lot of imagination. Floor cleaner is also a possibility. So, enough of that, this is fruity rose. Supported by a hint of wood in the background.

And before the synthetic aspects (especially the fruit increasingly gives the impression of generic lab fruit) become too intrusive in their character's immutability, the fragrance already begins to retreat during the morning. Finally, a shy musk note gets to make its appearance. In the afternoon, it becomes more pronounced and gradually transforms the scent into an unremarkable, decent floral cream, with only remnants of the former companions remaining. The moss-patchouli residue at the very end should probably not be attributed to the active scent progression.

Conclusion: I approached my second Alexandre-J test with low expectations. The fragrance has performed somewhat better than initially anticipated. Certainly not a "great" one, and I still find the price-performance ratio (98 euros/100ml) questionable, but at least it lives up to the claim formulated at Sens Unique.

It's like clean laundry that hasn't quite dried properly, so it smells slightly of damp. The moss/patchouli makes it smell a bit "dirty"

It's beautiful, feminine. If you like the rose note, I recommend it. I bought it blind for 100 ml. I also have its decant. Rating: 9/10

A laundry load you forgot in the wash for a day. Rosey detergent. Gaslighting yourself into accepting the smell, but inevitably redoing it.

Fine fruits on sun-kissed skin,
creamy sweet and delightfully soft.
It gets floral too, what a wonder,
wow, this lady ignites my fire.

Young, fresh, transparent, bright rose. Fruity until the end. Lasts great, radiates well. Has a cooling effect. I think it’s genius.

It's definitely in the rose-vanilla direction like Intense Cafe. Here it's a bit fresher and fruitier with peach & musk. Good.

I should actually like it based on the notes. But I find the scent heavy and matronly. Patchouli dust & old-fashioned metal rose.

fruity, woody, earthy, and intoxicating. A great perfume for morning grumps.

Morning Musc may sound very synthetic, but I don’t hold it against it. It calms down over time and becomes very feminine.

Very loud and very fruity rose, interesting at first, then increasingly overpowering. In the base, I smell honey: the scent becomes softer. H&S-super.
