Real Enigma

Before Christmas I got a samples in a perfume delivery.While opening the box, I was wondering what extras I got from the seller.Because green is my favourite colour, I had to test it imediately. Instantly I was surrounded by a cloud of hazelnuts perfectly blended in saffron.The drydown is all about tonka beans, to me is not at all powdery despite the orris root.Not huge projection but defenately long lasting( I tested it in the night and in the morning was still in the skin).In the next day I purchased it, for me was really love at the first sniff.Planning to souk Here soon for a backup bottle.

A Work of Art

Pure temptation, indeed. Trying to describe this fragrance gave me a lot of trouble, because so complex in its perfection is a difficult challenge.

One word that comes to mind after opening the packaging is luxury, the greatest of all. The packaging imitates a precious magic bottle locked in an oriental crypt, hidden far from the reach of human hands. Whoever came up with the idea of depicting the series of this perfume (Art Nouveau Collection) in such a specific way was truly a genius, deserving of an ovation. However, if you want to discover beauty in its purest form, you just have to open the cap....

Simply wow
The quality of the fragrance sniffed is extraordinary, definite top-shelf ingredients were used. Despite a small number of simple notes, the fragrance remains complex and engaging. At the beginning, a perfectly creamy and nutty layer opens the head notes, in a very delicate way, making it definitely one of the best if not the best creamy fragrance on the market. The hazelnuts fit beautifully into such a delicate yet intense fragrance, making it a beautiful, more feminine composition.

It is definitely sweet, but this sweetness is not overpowering or tiring. It beautifully envelops us in a warm coating of luxury that everyone dreams of during cold days. Under the care of this sweetness comes a delicious date, further stirring up the sense of desire.

When the fragrance spreads a little, hibiscus and orris root become noticeable. These two binders brilliantly give the fragrance charisma and a well-deserved position among its peers in this collection. They add a floral whiff of freshness and certainly put us at ease.

At the end of our experience, tonka bean rum and saffron rule our senses. They thoroughly fuse everything together and make us want to sink into a bathtub filled with this fragrance. They don't impose themselves, creating a delicately alcoholic-spice base that we want to sniff endlessly.

What can I say, this is an extraordinary fragrance, which it would be absolutely impossible to clone. The price is high, but you can expect nothing less from such a luxurious fragrance. I would just like to congratulate the creator of such an extraordinary work of art. It really is something remarkable and I have nothing more to add.

You Have Captivated Me..

Oriental Enigma is a wonderfully pleasant spicy gourmand.
This fragrance possesses class, elegance, seriousness, and simply convinces me from start to finish.

The interplay of the sweet notes, such as date and tonka bean paired with spicy notes like saffron or even rum works flawlessly here.
The rum also conveys a slightly "tipsy" vibe without coming across as overly alcoholic.

Additionally, the fragrance has powdery qualities that become a bit more intense over time.
Furthermore, creamy impressions can be perceived.

I can't directly identify the listed hazelnut, but the fragrance does have a pleasantly nutty characteristic, especially in the initial phase.

Towards the end, it becomes super pleasant woody, creamy, and the sweet vibe continues.
However, the spiciness is somewhat dialed back.

I find the overall composition of the fragrance simply excellent.

Oriental Enigma is definitely wonderfully unisex wearable, and the performance is also good.
The fragrance lasts on me for 7-9 hours, depending on the day's condition, weather, etc. The projection is a bit weaker, but still perfectly fine.

I would have rated it even higher if the impression from the initial phase had lasted a bit longer. I love this spicy sweetness with the wonderful rum character.

Perfect notes, finely tuned - But something still isn't right

The notes here are very finely tuned to each other. A creamy date sillage and a pleasant sweetness play the composition here. Simply grand! It suits both me and, as I think, any lady interested in an elegant yet present fragrance. Up until the dry down, I was even considering getting it for myself, but I'll get to that shortly.

As the "Oriental Enigma" (the name is classy) develops, especially in the first 10 minutes, it takes on a gourmand quality, beautifully rounded off with tonka and dates. One of the best date fragrances in my opinion, because you can clearly perceive the notes right from the opening. It does resemble "Angels' Share | Kilian" and "Angelic Elixir | The Dua Brand / Dua Fragrances," but in my feeling, it is much more balanced. "Angelic Elixir" always seemed a bit too sweet to me, but this one manages to maintain a pleasant lightness without sacrificing projection or longevity. I know I'm comparing dates to apples, but some of the fragrance notes here drive me to do so. Well, so far it’s an excellently good fragrance.

For me, the Oriental Enigma is perfect for home, ideal for the cold season, suitable for evenings or when the sun is just setting. It has something seductive and delicious about it that I find very sexy. But then comes the turning point in the dry down: the fragrance becomes more intense, which I initially like, but soon the sweetness becomes too dominant for me. Cinnamon comes in, and suddenly I feel like the fragrance is drifting towards "old lady scent." Although I still admire its complexity and beauty, it ultimately isn't quite my thing.

My conclusion: The Oriental Enigma initially seduced me with its perfectly tuned notes and finesse, only to later leave me behind with its overwhelming sweetness. This precise observation has once again shown me how personal and subjective my world of fragrances is. What seemed promising at first (a solid 10) has changed significantly over time and with the development of the fragrance on my skin. Nevertheless, this is a really great scent!
