Real Enigma

Before Christmas I got a samples in a perfume delivery.While opening the box, I was wondering what extras I got from the seller.Because green is my favourite colour, I had to test it imediately. Instantly I was surrounded by a cloud of hazelnuts perfectly blended in saffron.The drydown is all about tonka beans, to me is not at all powdery despite the orris root.Not huge projection but defenately long lasting( I tested it in the night and in the morning was still in the skin).In the next day I purchased it, for me was really love at the first sniff.Planning to souk Here soon for a backup bottle.

A Work of Art

Pure temptation, indeed. Trying to describe this fragrance gave me a lot of trouble, because so complex in its perfection is a difficult challenge.

One word that comes to mind after opening the packaging is luxury, the greatest of all. The packaging imitates a precious magic bottle locked in an oriental crypt, hidden far from the reach of human hands. Whoever came up with the idea of depicting the series of this perfume (Art Nouveau Collection) in such a specific way was truly a genius, deserving of an ovation. However, if you want to discover beauty in its purest form, you just have to open the cap....

Simply wow
The quality of the fragrance sniffed is extraordinary, definite top-shelf ingredients were used. Despite a small number of simple notes, the fragrance remains complex and engaging. At the beginning, a perfectly creamy and nutty layer opens the head notes, in a very delicate way, making it definitely one of the best if not the best creamy fragrance on the market. The hazelnuts fit beautifully into such a delicate yet intense fragrance, making it a beautiful, more feminine composition.

It is definitely sweet, but this sweetness is not overpowering or tiring. It beautifully envelops us in a warm coating of luxury that everyone dreams of during cold days. Under the care of this sweetness comes a delicious date, further stirring up the sense of desire.

When the fragrance spreads a little, hibiscus and orris root become noticeable. These two binders brilliantly give the fragrance charisma and a well-deserved position among its peers in this collection. They add a floral whiff of freshness and certainly put us at ease.

At the end of our experience, tonka bean rum and saffron rule our senses. They thoroughly fuse everything together and make us want to sink into a bathtub filled with this fragrance. They don't impose themselves, creating a delicately alcoholic-spice base that we want to sniff endlessly.

What can I say, this is an extraordinary fragrance, which it would be absolutely impossible to clone. The price is high, but you can expect nothing less from such a luxurious fragrance. I would just like to congratulate the creator of such an extraordinary work of art. It really is something remarkable and I have nothing more to add.

You have cast a spell over me.

Oriental Enigma is a wonderfully pleasantly spicy gourmand.
This fragrance has class, elegance, seriousness and simply convinces me from beginning to end.

The interplay of sweet notes, such as date and tonka bean, paired with spicy notes, such as saffron or rum, works perfectly here The rum also conveys a very slightly "tipsy" vibe, without coming across as really alcoholic.

The fragrance also has powdery qualities that become more intense over time.
Furthermore, creamy impressions can be perceived.

I cannot directly recognize the listed hazelnut, but the fragrance definitely has a pleasant nutty quality, especially in the first phase.

Towards the end, it becomes super pleasantly woody, creamy and the sweet vibe persists.
However, the spiciness is dialed back a little.

I think the overall composition of the fragrance is simply outstanding.

Oriental Enigma is definitely wonderfully unisex wearable and the performance is also good.
The fragrance lasts me 7-9 hours, depending on the day, weather, etc. The projection is a little weaker, but still perfectly fine.

I would have rated it even higher if the impression from the first phase had lasted a little longer. I love this spicy sweetness with the great rum character.

Perfect notes, finely tuned - but something is still not right

The notes here are very finely balanced. A creamy date silage and a pleasant sweetness play the composition here. Simply magnificent! It suits both me and, in my opinion, any lady who is interested in an elegant yet present fragrance. I even toyed with the idea of buying it until DD, but I'll get to that in a moment.

As the "Oriental Enigma" (the name is great) develops, especially in the first 10 minutes, it takes on gourmand notes that round everything off nicely with tonka and dates. One of the best date fragrances in my opinion, because you can clearly perceive the notes in the opening. It's still very similar to "Angels' Share | Kilian" and Angelic Elixir, but in my opinion much more balanced. "Angelic Elixir" always struck me as a little too sweet, but this one manages to retain a pleasant lightness without losing any of its radiance or longevity. I realize I'm comparing dates to apples right now, but some scent here is driving me to it. Well, an excellent fragrance so far.

For me, Oriental Enigma is perfect for the home, ideal for the cold season, for evenings or when the sun is just setting. There's something seductive and delicious about it that I find very sexy. But then comes the turning point in Dry Down: the fragrance becomes more intense, which I like at first, but the sweetness quickly becomes too dominant for me. Cinnamon is added, and suddenly I feel like the fragrance is drifting towards "old granny scent". Although I still admire its complexity and beauty, it's ultimately not quite my cup of tea.

My conclusion: Oriental Enigma seduced me at first with its perfectly balanced notes and delicacy, only to lose me later with its overwhelming sweetness. This close observation showed me once again how personal and subjective my world of fragrances is. What seemed promising at first (so a flat 10) changed dramatically over time and as the fragrance developed on my skin. Nevertheless, this is a really great fragrance!

Just give it a try.
