Exciting scent thriller with a pleasant ending
Another "Ard A l Zaafaran" fragrance that I bought blind. And it's anything but "blind", and extremely exciting - like a good Agatha Christie thriller.
Here, the scent progression is partially reversed - in other words, the opposite of the "pyramid".
The citrus notes are moss green. Right from the start. It takes a good 15 minutes for the lavender to creep up from behind. This is accompanied by powdery iris, and then, after a slight delay, amber suddenly appears, which (actually) belongs in the base. No sign of lily of the valley yet! Would a search report be necessary?
Instead, a fine "sea air" blows in, which is cool. And also smells mossy from the depths. Lily of the valley, where are you?!?...
Then a green, slightly indolic scent emerges. Delicately interwoven with musk. The "missing ones" are finally here! And equally subtle jasmine. Was that it? Think again! Because the lavender is now more prominent than ever. The moss comes up trumps! And the citrus fruits, especially bergamot. The result is a clear hint of fougère. Everything else is now in the background. And it DOES influence the "fougére" in an extremely pleasant way. "Thriller" at an end?
I'm not ENTIRELY sure. But it will most certainly have a good ending!
