Boozy plum & marzipan (inspired by Carlisle)
First of all, best regards to the Parfumo "Duftfieber" who sent me this sample for free.
I found out about Tafakhar via Youtube.
Allegedly a Carlisle dupe.
For 14,99 € of course interesting.
As expected, the fragrance was great, but the performance was weak.
Tafakhar starts very sweet and alcoholic.
Sounds cheap and synthetic, but after a few moments a beautiful plum comes in.
And now it comes across as a boozy plum that is very pleasant.
I would describe the plum more as a dried plum.
Quite dark, boozy and sweet.
The sweetness is also reminiscent of marzipan without smelling too marzipan-y.
As the fragrance progresses, it becomes a little creamier due to the sandalwood and also spicier.
But everything is quite pleasant, this is not a spice bomb like Spicebomb Extreme or Tobacco Vanille Eau de Parfum.
As already mentioned, the performance is rather weak.
I get a radiance of 1h here, with 6 sprays.
And even in the first hour, it's not exactly strong.
It's more of a fragrance that's perfect for work or when you're cuddling with your partner Then it shouldn't bother anyone.
If you want to stand out, you need at least 10+ sprays and even then I don't really know if that would work.
Like Carlisle, Tafakhar is a unisex fragrance, but I see it more on a man.
Because hardly any women own Carlisle either, at least here on Parfumo (2% of users, as of today).
A really nice fragrance for the winter.
If you say to yourself: I don't need a strong performer, then you will definitely be happy with this fragrance.
