Armaf's Credo

Armaf Milestone was on my wish list for quite some time but either the stocks of the well-known online perfumers were empty or Milestone was offered at too high a price. At some point the conditions were right and I took the deal.

Ordered > delivered > unpacked > sprayed and: Hmm... Crab cutter on the sea!?

Nah - it wasn't that bad after all ;-)
The first alcoholic-synthetic spray probably caught me cold and after about 5 seconds this perception was gone.
Milestone opens the fragrance with a piquant, bittersweet fruit note that somehow reminds me of orange zest and melon. Underneath is a carpet of salty sea air that will accompany the fragrance for some time to come. That's very interesting and I wonder how one could manage this salty scent chord.
The dance continues and the fruit chords of red fruit and bergamot become much sweeter and fresher. Later, the fruitiness loses itself in the fragrance and fine floral and woody aromas take over the melody. In the base, the "all-purpose weapon" ambroxan is getting ready to take off to round off the fragrance together with vetiver in a reserved and pleasantly fragrant way.

For a fresh and fruity summer scent, the shelf life is above average and projected clearly perceptible.
Armaf Club de Nuit Milestone is not a milestone now but I like to wear it!
For me, the mixture of salty sea air with fruity summer freshness is a perfect complement to my citric summer aquatas.

A brief word about the bottle:
Massive, heavy glass flacon in golden high gloss optics with enormous attraction for fingerprints ;-)
He seems value-pompous but on closer inspection he looks a little bit unclean in the processing.
I have tested the 02/2020 batch and the bottle has the golden spray head.

One of the best Armafs? Unfortunately not so mine sorry...

I do not know what to say...
I have ordered the fragrance tried and am disappointed.
I gave him several chances and tried to get used to it but in my opinion he is not worth the money.
For me, just much too synthetic...
Top note is a mixture of fruit, acidic, mineral, metallic, sweet.
The heart note smells at me and also at others at which we had tried it as if one had sweated and slightly after plastik and something after radish and seaweed. Only in the late drydown you could say here smells the fragrance "ok" and more but also not. It is not my only Armaf and how Millesime Imperial smells I also know, however, I really do not understand the hype here Mix of Creed SMW Creed GIT and easily really minimal the sweetness of Dior Homme in addition with a lot of synthetics as some youtuber would describe him. (Mehdi Scent describes by the way the Millesime Imperial itself so)
Info PD: 02.20 with golden sprayer.
I think that often some among us scents just talk good because it they abfu*t are every time at blindbuys to have bought what bad and then look for reasons to keep him but :D (speak from personal experience but also too often noticed in others). Sometimes you just have to be realistic and make short work and often it is so that if you can not decide from the beginning for the fragrance that he leaves the collection in the end. Rarely remain such fragrances then but.
For me, unfortunately, he was nothing. : /
Sorry for my opinion and hope no one feels attacked again. : / :D

Non-magnetic and yet the most attractive of all metals - gold

Since I have owned this fragrance a little longer now and there is still no comment on this yet Mr. Unknown, I thought I would start and share my impressions with you
The bottle is a feast for the eyes and stands out of the collection, on closer inspection it does not look so high quality, so I don't give it a full score here - nevertheless it is very hard to hold and conveys value - which it unfortunately doesn't offer, as already written, on closer inspection.

The fragrance is great for the summer - reminiscent of happy, exciting and carefree holiday moments and is characterized by lightness and freshness, similar to a sea breeze.
The fragrances are unfortunately wrong here.

The top note : fruit, sea salt
The heart note : bergamot, iris, sicilian lemon, tangerine
The base note : marine, musk

I think the milestone should be a reference to the Millésime Impérial of Creed or rather it comes very close to it for the purpose of the Maritime Note
For me a great scent for the summer, also a nice change between the usual summer scents (citrus / woods etc.) the durability is good, the Sillage is sufficient but is of course not a heavy scent, so it is to cope with
I would give the fragrance a quote like the one that can be taken from my title :

" Non-magnetic and yet the most attractive of all metals - gold "

For the purpose of this beautiful gold decorated bottle & the fresh scent, it is by no means perfect or comparable in value to Creed, yet it attracts incredibly and that although it is not magnetic ;)

2020 vs 2021

I ordered this fragrance 2020 blind after reading through the notes , Creed MI tried and found too weak for the price. I was thrilled, Milestone has definitely ne similarity to its golden role model, but 1:1 comments are just bullshit, the scents are not identical at all. Sure Creed is less synthetic, especially in the opening, but that would be pathetic at the price if not. The first moment after spraying on is sharp, smells a bit like synthetic mint, window cleaner possibly something to represent melon. After about 5 minutes the perfume starts to smell very pleasant and fresh. With the watermelon note comes an association in the head: 5Gum watermelon. That this fragrance reminds of the chewing gum have confirmed two other friends, but is also not meant negatively :) The smell of a fresh version of 5Gum actually remains almost over the entire course, to the end the perfume fades in a vetiver note.

But now my problem with this fragrance: yes, I mentioned that I bought this fragrance in 2020, 2020 batch isses too. But now I could smell a 2021 batch, not only it smells different, but also not nearly as long as the older version. There is hardly a trace of the melon in the new version, just smells like a cheap room spray. Almost everyone knows by now that Armaf imitates Creed fragrances, but that they have to copy the batch stories as well? I can't explain it any other way, fakes of a 20 Euro perfume would be really silly, but I'm sure in my feeling, just like some friends and my brother, I like to get other opinions. Possibly it was now on this one bottle, or the new versions all smell like this, I do not know, but the 2020 version is really better in ALL aspects.

Durability: not particularly long, but it is also a light summer fragrance ( MI yes also), 5 hours are in, but then not much more. One smells the fragrance almost only in a radius of 50cm, in a summer perfume not further disturbing.

Season: Summer, spring. Fresh, slightly fruity fragrance for everyday life. One will offend with it no one, in the office also absolutely portable, always brings positive comments.

Flacon: Golden, chunky cube with pointed edges, silly glitter stones and a cheap gold chain, well, Armaf is now not known for aesthetic design, but at least the bottle is quite heavy, as well as the lid, which you can only get off with force. My poor evaluation of the bottle results but only conditionally from the optics, but much more from the atomizer: under all sow, drooling and you can hardly speak of a mist.

Price: I got my bottle at the time for 20 euros, since then the price (everywhere I have encountered this fragrance) has gone up, but so far not immeasurable. If the current versions perhaps still smell like the 2020 variant, then clear purchase recommendation, for the price you could do nothing wrong, but the 2021 version (at least the one that I was allowed to try) is to use nothing.

Conclusion: 2020 version at the price top, for the second I would not spend a dime. If anyone of you has the new version or my experience shares ( or just not :), let me know gladly.

Melon Melon and more melon

Milestone of Armaf smells for me in the first place after melon. Fresh fruity not sweet or so bubble gum moderately like Ultra Male or Joop Homme, no simply a fresh melon with easily but really only very easily aquatic notes by this sea salt.

For me clearly a summer fragrance that works very well outside. Unfortunately a little too one-dimensional Except melon I smell there actually little out. But hey who is looking for exactly something like that why not .
The durability is very good and the projection as with fasst all CdN fragrances very good.
Price performance top!
