solid fresh scent for casual and active wear

i enjoy this thoroughly, especially at its price point. off rip you get a very strong lemon. it’s not juicy or realistic, almost leans into a cleaning product realm but not quite. noticeable ginger present as well. there’s a dry powdery note throughout the entire wear of this fragrance. i haven’t seen this listed in the official notes or accords, but it’s something to be noted nonetheless. it may be the specific type of woods or vetiver showing through.
as this dries the lemony citrus fades, the woods and masculine musk remains. i have worn this countless times and enjoy the way it dries on clothes. it’s distinctly male in the wood notes but in an inoffensive way to me. i prefer unisex fragrances but this is approachable for an androgynous experience too. your sense of smell is connected to your lived experience, so make your own connections.
i haven’t smelled the original fragrance people claim this is a dupe of, so i have no comment in that regard.
all in all, a solid citrus>powder>wood fresh scent that would go well fresh out of a shower or while working out. can’t beat under $40 fragrances.
scent 8/10, longevity for about 8 hours or a day on clothes, sillage past arms length within the first 2 hours of wear. i recommend!

Going to let this one sit....

So yeah, I see the obvious comparisons with YSL EDP, but honestly, it reminds me more of Hugo Boss Unlimited, although it doesn't last half as long as even that scent, and that one itself is known for it's poor longevity. I've seen that if it's allowed to macerate for a month or two after a few sprays, then projection and longevity significantly improve, so I'll wait until then and see if I'll change my review. Off the bat though, this is an incredibly weak aftershave, which even at it's low price would seem pointless in buying. I wasn't expecting beast mode, but yes, it's very weak.

Close to YSL Y EDT/EDP

This smells very close to YSL Y EDT and EDP. It's a citrus/ginger bomb in the opening, but settles down quickly. It last easily 8hrs+ on my skin, and is beast mode on clothing.
If you're into YSL Y EDT or EDP you can't go wrong with this, most people won't be able to tell the difference.

The bottle is terrible. It's big and bulky, and has this weird little yellow faux leather jacket on it. The cap looks like it flips open, but it doesn't; the whole thing comes off, and comes off too easily. Some of the juice leaks out of the atomizer if you shake the bottle around.

Overall, this is just too sickeningly sweet - I can't wear it for long periods and had to wash it off. I gave this away to goodwill, none of my friends wanted it.
