I used to use Lynx / Axe when I was in school, so when I saw they had brought out this collection I thought I should at least try it. The fragrance, as you would expect, contains a noticeable amount of tobacco and amber with some notes of tonka, vanilla, musk and ginger. It's not a bad fragrance to be honest and it lasts about 6-7 hours which also is not bad.

In my opinion, this is more suited as a daily fragrance in the colder months, I don't think it's going to be a first choice for many people, I myself just keep this in my car in case I need a blast of something, but I wouldn't start my day wanting to wear this as it is very much Lynx / Axe quality, even the container looks like a deodorant can...

Since my school days, I have been a big fan of Axe deodorants. When I found out that Axe was launching a range of "bodysprays," I, as a chronically broke student, naturally perked up.

Of the 3 or 4 varieties available, I liked Tobacco and Amber the best. And what can I say - this bodyspray was my signature scent for about 2 years, and I received by far the most compliments for it.

By now, I have outgrown that phase. I still have a small remnant sitting on my shelf and nostalgically think about the fact that it is no longer available for purchase.

I discovered the scent online and immediately went to the drugstore to smell it. Unfortunately, the fresh notes are completely missing, but it smells very warm and sweet instead. I can perceive a dry tobacco note combined with brandy, amber, and coconut and vanilla; I also detect something resinous, it could be the amber. The sillage is okay, but the longevity is unfortunately disappointing. Next to the Daily Fragrance Signature, this is one of the best of the three Daily Fragrances.

Even though the expectations were not very high, I am still disappointed. The fragrance pyramid suggests a fresh/sweet scent, but this stuff has nothing to do with that at all. While I was pleasantly surprised by the vanilla variant, this is an undefinable substance that sometimes gives off a somewhat tobacco-like scent, with no trace of vanilla or tonka bean. If they had put the tobacco into Oud Wood, a product would have emerged that would have been worth the money. Here, you get an unpleasant room scent for an hour that you wouldn't necessarily want to smell like yourself.

I love this scent. Sweet, a bit spicy, and simply wonderful.
The downside: after spraying, the fragrance retains its "elegance" for about 15 minutes. Then it weakens and disappears. I would really, really wish for an Eau de Parfum or even a Parfum version of this, as the initial scent is truly amazing.
Price/performance is really top!!!
